I agree with you. My big issue with cheating in the game is that people get banned for getting cars early (which I have no issue with bans for) or something random on a design but rivals and PR stunts are littered with obviously manipulated scores which no proper player can complete with.
Then there is the general bad behaviour in online events, cheating is prevalent, so is ramming and griefing. None of these players seem to get bans which annoys me because its this type of thing that ruins the game for everyone
The thing is, car pack cars are 3 of my 5 most downloaded tunes. Unlike playlist reward cars, I feel like I have a better chance of getting noticed with car pack tunes since theirs less competition.
I was late into xbox consoles - started with FH3 but got discs for FH1 & 2 later on as they were backwards compatible. FM5 to 7 were ones I tried but couldn’t get into. Still think FH3 was the best of the series.
Well said & very true. The sad part is how obvious they are about it & it’s just ignored & in some cases supported, depending on the affiliation. Immediate content shared with inflated alt account numbers for DLs & likes to ensure the system holds them in place, rinse, repeat.
Totally agree on the manipulated scores. It’s been there in day 1 of every game and despite being assured they are dealing with it, it still continues after years. Weird as so many are so obvious - races with 1 second finishes, jumps that last longer than the map would allow…
So many could be sorted without any ambiguity as to whether they were legit or not.
I get that. Its one thing to have the car and mess about in game with it but you are right about people using the time to create tunes and designs. Tunes can be made in mins once things are available but decent designs can take hours, days or weeks
You’d think that if you were up to dodgy things then you wouldn’t be putting out tunes or designs early to bring extra attention to yourself
I don’t want to be down on PGG or T10 because the problem is almost impossible to resolve outside of setting max values where anything above is not counted or flagged to moderation
You could remove 1,000 scores or accounts and soon after, 2,000 new ones would appear because it’s just a problem with online gaming. There are more people messing with the system than there are people trying to police it
I agree it’s tricky on the ones that could be legit but there are so many that are impossible that they could remove - as mentioned, the ridiculous race times, jumps, speed trap scores, etc.
It makes me wonder how many of these scores are there for months at a time because it could be a case of things get removed after x number of weeks and get replaced by other dodgy accounts/scores. I’ve not monitored it so can’t say either way
The other consideration is how many hours can you put to this before game development / updates suffer. I think the system could be automated to a certain degree but for whatever reason, it seems not to be.
Maybe this problem wasn’t considered in the game design/backend moderation system so adding it in later may require significant recoding that would affect game development
Forza isn’t alone in this stuff. COD, Fortnite, Tarkov etc are notorious for cheaters so the problem is widespread throughout online gaming and not one any company has got a handle on
Agree but again it doesn’t really get to me that much. I see an obvious ridiculous score and just say Hey, carry on - you’re only cheating yourself in the end with no positive gain as everybody can see it’s not real.
Sure, not a big deal if I was an established tuner with many hundreds of followers. Any car pack tunes I would put up now or even when it finally released on console would be completely ignored.
I agree with that, but also players like me who have already tried the tunes from Geist and X Shadow at least can still search their names (Thankfully that still works lol) In fact there are quite a few familiar tuners here that I do use.
If you friend them through XBOX, they will automatically appear first when you search for tunes if they have any available for the specific car you’re searching for. The same is true for designs.
