European Automotive (Series 31) & Car Pack info | Feb. 27

The Battista can’t reach S998 but has an RWD swap to make an S900 Drift tires build. Weird.

:man_facepalming:

Really? lol…so useless in both Motorsport and horizon then….got it.

Edit: what is it’s starting PI? Not in front of my Xbox right now.

Only 928 vs 968 of the Nevera - both on race tires.
In Motorsport it’s the opposite.
It can go full weight reduction on Drifts or full aero, no weight reduction, no rear tire width on Drifts for S900.
Kinda like an EV powerbuild.

Have to run tests.

Got it….so any slicks available? Off-road tires?

+0.05 slicks (worse than standard 0.06) and every tire compound.

Perhaps, but the trade-off is just as bad with it being a FOMO car.

Either way, at least it’s finally in a game I can tolerate playing, and this update as a whole is a big improvement over…well, whatever last month was.

Already seen someone in the Valkyrie AMR Pro :eyes:

A player or drivatar?

Happens every week / season. There always seems to be a few that somehow have the new cars before they are officially released…

It’s very stupid to do because give it a couple of weeks and they’ll get a ban. There is an automated system that hands out bans for having unreleased cars in your garage.

I got hit by it for a 30 day ban in FH4 a few years ago. I know its automated because there is no way someone could monitor the player base manually at that scale plus a query for certain items before certain dates would be easy for a system to flag

I don’t worry though - if they want to cheat the system and risk a ban then crack on. I prefer to do the work and get the rewards when I get them.
At least it gets the photo new cars bit out of the way early…

That’s true. I don’t care what people do as long as they don’t ruin the experience for other players. Get all the cars early for all I care, it doesn’t affect anyone else in the game.

Personally, I won’t touch getting things early because it isn’t worth the risk. My FH4 ban came from the big ban wave when T10 (or a particular person there as I understand it) decided to choose violence and nuke a lot of players for things that were either never previously enforced or for totally unfathomable reasons

A good way to get photos early is to use a custom event lab and select the locked car as one of the options and a similar car that you own as the other. Most of the time you get the locked car on the starting grid so easy enough to snap a picture

Agreed - I sometimes use the eventlabs for that but don’t do many. I bought the premium edition pre-order edition which was something I regretted after I saw the state of the game at the start and another reason why I refuse to pay extra for car packs or the ridiculous sponsorship tie-ins that they tried to force upon me so still struggling to capture many at this stage. It’s not a big thing though so I’ll snap them whenever they appear otherwise I just ignore it.

For DLC its worth checking the Super7 because people do make cards for the DLC/Promo cars.

If there is anything you want me to create a super7 for, let me know. I have most things (not F&F, Chinese or Euro packs and no Controller or Opi Car)

I bought the FH5 Premium because I needed early access for content. It paid for itself first month but I wish it was on Steam early access because I’d much rather play it on my Linux system than dealing with Windows and the MS Store issues

I refused to buy Motorsport because of the online requirement for career mode so I only play it on cloud. I really hope FH6 doesn’t go down the same lines.

Online requirement = disposable game.

Also backed out of FM because of the downward spiral that FH has been on and I also wasn’t really a fan of the previous FM editions. FM7 was passable but 5 & 6 were a no go for engagement for me. I was late into it so though I have discs for FM3 & 4 I’ve never had the chance to use them as they didn’t get released on backwards compatibility.
I’ve run FH1 through 5 but I have to say that 3 was the pinnacle and 4 & 5 have just dropped off from there.
I don’t use PC on gaming so if it’s not on console it doesn’t get run. Pity as a recent message suggested that Xbox were looking at moving everything to PC so I guess that will be the end of my console and my gaming.

Yeah, this is unfortunate, but in line with the conversation going on above. The main point being that those who choose to play the game as intended, put the time & effort into quality user content & share it normally, such as yourself, don’t usually have much of a chance with the new content bc of those who work outside the guidelines to get ahead of everyone else. I’d like to think the points being made about cheating & bans remains valid, but I’m skeptical at best. There are so many ways they have found to exploit the system while hiding in plain sight.

I did see an interview with Phil Spencer that said MS are not dropping xbox support despite rumours but are looking at expanding the first party games to multiple platforms.

One thing I did hear, but is unconfirmed, is that the recent layoffs have gutted and closed the division tasked with getting new games to physical release. MS are going all in on digital so I can believe that these stories have a degree of truth

For FM, I joined at FM5 and didn’t like it but loved FM6 & 7. Horizon I joined at FH2, again didn’t get into it and skipped 3 (but bought it later on) and rejoined at 4 through game pass. I did pick up FH1 a few years ago and it works on the xbox one so that’s all good

I’m mainly PC based because its easier to record and my xbox one x is used as a family machine so it’s not often I get to go on it. Don’t really want a Series console because of the storage scam

I don’t agree that getting cars early doesn’t affect other players. Some of them are sharing tunes and liveries early or at the moment the car is legally available.

This drowns out legitimate players that are trying to get their content noticed or gain some followers.

Speaking of gaining followers, it’s still not working after the update.

I agree with you. My big issue with cheating in the game is that people get banned for getting cars early (which I have no issue with bans for) or something random on a design but rivals and PR stunts are littered with obviously manipulated scores which no proper player can complete with.

Then there is the general bad behaviour in online events, cheating is prevalent, so is ramming and griefing. None of these players seem to get bans which annoys me because its this type of thing that ruins the game for everyone
