Endurance Series rework

Hello all, this will be the first time I have posted on the forums! As a fan of WEC/IMSA I’m naturally drawn to running the Endurance Series in Featured MP. However, to be quite frank, the mode feels almost completely dead until the series rotates to Proto H/P2/GT. I believe this is down to a few factors:

-the races being 60 minutes long

-the car/classes rotating weekly to an unpopular choice of car and class, or classes with blatantly unbalanced cars

-the track selection being too broad or not accurately reflecting the real life tracks used (mainly in the case of the modern race cars)

The only time the Endurance Series is actually popular is when the weekly rotation is on Proto H/P2/GT cars, so my suggestion is to completely remove the weekly rotation of classes/cars and rename this the “Modern Endurance Series” focused permanently around Proto H/P2/GT3 cars to simulate modern endurance racing.

Instead of 60 minute races, reduce the time to 45 minutes and perhaps remove some of the unpopular tracks, especially fictional tracks and focus on tracks that are used for current WEC/IMSA races:

-Le Mans
-Spa
-Daytona
-Watkins Glen
-Laguna Seca
-Sebring
-Road Atlanta
-Indy GP

Then perhaps throw in some other tracks such as Silverstone and Nurburgring GP mainly because there currently isn’t any other European/Asian tracks used for WEC races in the game.

I’d really like to breathe some life back into this mode and I believe, as someone who plays it regularly, the only way to do this is to strictly focus on modern endurance racing as that is what is popular even in other racing games at the moment. Thanks for reading this (hopefully)!

I agree, I avoid it when there’s something else in rotation besides the Protos. And the 60 mins is a lot to commit when people start dropping. Out and you’re just hot lapping at a certain point.

I fully agree.

I would even suggest to remove the P2 car class and only keep Proto H / GT3 cars, as 3 differents cars class are too much for a lobby that can only have at best 24 players. With only two, you could have 12 players in each class for the best scenario, and it would be similar to WEC.

Yes and limit the practice times as well to best accomodate the most players entering the lobby. The game really lacks immersiveness without multi-car endurance racing especially without the damage and full-sim on.
