Forzathon in Horizon 3 is over, but the game will continue to be functional as long as the hardware exists to play it. They might start turning down other server side features in a few years, but even then, it will still be playable in single player mode.
If you’re still alive in 80 years, and you have an Xbox One, or your local museum lets you play it or whatever, then you will be able to play Horizon 3, but only in single player mode. And probably the last Forzathon will be over by then too.
Maybe you can ask them by submitting a support ticket or ask on twitter or something
Me personally i couldnt care less since i played since day dot at full price and have only played sparingly in the last 15 months or so
I guess that’s what happens when you buy it heavily discounted and at the end of the games cycle
If you look at the ongoing final 4 forzathon events the rewards include the 2 forzathon barn finds as well as number of horizon edition cars
I don’t think I’ll be playing it, I’ve already uninstalled it.
Overall I like Horizon 4’s map more than Horizon 3 but it’s covered in bumps and elevation changes. RWDs need soft springs and good travel to not bottom out (was running 280/420 springs on rally suspension in the GT3). I’ve been developing carpal tunnel from fighting with that GT3 btw, trying to learn to relax. It’s really touchy on controller, with those spring rates/ride height.
