I experienced this Bug lately while I played Eliminator in Forza Horizon 5
This Bug literally really annoying beside the “Ghost Drops” Bug
The Bug that is “Battle With Ghost”, I don’t know if this person using Cheats or this is a Bug, because some people already experiencing this Bug (like some youtubers already experience this Bug too)

Just encountered this. No other player icons on my mini map, yet get challenged. Drive toward the finish and don’t see any other cars with the “can’t engage” icon. I’m in position 1 of 2 in the head to head, and I lose well before I get close to the end.
Is the gamertag who challenged you are the same as person who challenged me or different person ?, if the same person, I can conclude the person maybe using cheats (maybe)
And maybe you wanna check my other post about another bug in Eliminator game mode, if you encountered another bug as same as me, please let me know

No, it was a different tag that challenged me.
I don’t play Eliminator often, pretty much just to complete a playlist challenge. I generally avoid other players as much as possible and don’t challenge them. I don’t recall seeing players pop in on the mini-map.
Me too, at the first I play Eliminator only to complete playlist challenge but after that I feel the Eliminator is the fun game mode and so addictive to play.
By the way, I hope this issued can be fix as soon as possible, because new player from another console (PS5) will be join in
