Cheers mate, still love doing it. Got something special coming later this yr for the 20th anniversary, bit of artwork based on some of my liveries, gonna see what they look like on canvas. Be adding proper tyre writing & sun banners as well to see what they could’ve looked like in game.

Such a shame that a racing franchise centred around race cars & customisation is lacking in options for livery creators to reach their full potential. Horizon is so much better when it comes to paintable surfaces that create immersion & realism copying real world cars yet this game seems to delete all those options for existing cars that have been brought over from the FH franchise & brand new ones to Motorsport like the Lamborghini SC63.
Then there’s the mirroring issue on opposite panels with all these hypercars & prototypes.
So disappointing, I’d love to paint them but just lose all enthusiasm when this keeps happening.

Hey Duff, I’m with you. Just one awkward unfixable unpaitable decal/vinyl group on a fender just ruins my motivation going forward.
It looks like these black areas are prime spots that Lamborghini doesn’t want used for anything else. And hope going forward newer cars don’t have this.
We’re getting too old for them to still not perfect this part of the franchise. I wish there was a 3500k top & sides & 1500k rear decal limits right now. I have time to come back to Forza to get my artistic cravings out now & still limited on the types of liveries I’d like to try recreating.
It would make some sense to try to keep up with today’s current artist themed/commissions only motorsort liveries that are works of art on a fast moving works of art.

Cars - Lamborghini SC63 2024 - Paint Mapping (2032435)

Beyond excited to see the Lamborghini SC63 in the game! That said, I’ve identified a few issues with the paint mapping. The shark fin is unpaintable The carbon area behind the front wheel, where both the IMSA and WEC versions of the car feature number boards, is unpaintable. This makes replicating existing liveries impossible. The rear wing endplates and main plane are unpaintable The windshield visor/banner is unpaintable…again (Reposted)

I’ve recently tried to paint the new McLaren Senna GTR and noticed I couldn’t paint most of the parts with carbon fiber, despite the Manufacturer Paint reaching those areas, which was kind of frustrating. So it came to me that beaing able to paint the whole car, or chosing to edit only a certain section (like those unpaintable carbon fiber parts) would be a great addition to the editor, which would also help with design masking. Freaking awesome work Duff!! Working on an Oreca currently & this morning my mind was blown on all the spots to put vinyl groups. Even on the inside of rear wing…sweet. Turn10 did great on this. Wish the mirrors were used for vinyls though.

Thanks a lot pal. Yeah the ORECA was a nice surprise when I tried it after the disappointment of the SC63. The insides of the endplates are only mirrored from the sides tho & the rear wing is unpaintable but on the ACURA you can do the insides separate & the wing can be painted. You also cant add a number board as that is blanked off which was really annoying.
Only thing with the ACURA is you can’t paint the right side of the roof scoop. I’ve sent a ticket for that, not likely to be fixed but we live in hope.

Such a crazy amount of paints you put out on a regular basis. You must know some rubber band trick in the paint booth!
I could understand if they looked so-so, but they all look top notch too!

Thank you very much pal, appreciate it. Having a huge selection of logo’s to choose from helps that have been created since FM5 but tbh I’ve done a lot of new stuff this year thinking the 20yr anniversary would be something special. Also not watching TV helps. I just draw, paint & do this in my spare time when I’m indoors, what I enjoy doing.
