Thoughts? Any motors you think will be added when doing a motor swap? I mean there are 700 cars so there must be some new options. Will the 5.7 V8 and 1.5 rally motor still be the go to swaps?
Also…
Will it be more reasonable this time around? I find it quite humorous that a Miata could get the 5.7 V8 yet the 69 Charger (among other vehicles) couldn’t. And while we’re on the subject of engines, can we ensure that the centrifugal supercharger glitch is fixed. Kinda sucks to apply a tune with it on and not be able to reapply it when you are putting a different build on a car.
It’s actually the 5.7l LS1 you’re swapping into everything. The 5.3 is a Chevy truck V8 (also used in the crappy Chevy Impala SS from the previous generation). But what I found the funniest out if all the ludicrous swaps was that I couldn’t put a Chevy 350 into the 67 or 70 chevelle (which came with one from the factory). I’d rather see period correct swap options with carburetors for the classic cars. Like a Rover V8 in the Jag Mark 2 or a 390 in the mustang. Not quite manufacturer specific but technologically similar. Putting a 350 in everything is boring. And if you want to talk about glitches that stupid Vtech engine is so overpowered at higher speeds it’s laughable. I’m sorry but no amount of “gearing” can explain how that engine gets from 60 to 100 faster than a twice as powerful V8 in a similarly heavy car. I’m sorry but you put a 2 liter Vtech (stock) against a 426 Hemi (stock) after the wheels stop spinning the Hemi will have no trouble eating it for breakfast IRL.

Some more enthusiast swaps would be nice.
I’m personally sick of the OP V12s, overused V8s, etc. Very unrealistic and incredibly expensive/not worth doing if it were real.
I mean, who swaps a V8 into a Supra, realistically?
We won’t know for sure until release
But I absolutely agree with you. Some lower spec engines for the slower cars would be great, especially for the like of the Miata. We have the V-TEC swaps (if we look at the likes of the previous games), but I’d like lower power engines that make lower class swaps more realistic.
A B class race becomes mayhem when you stick a Hemi in a Miata

I’d like swaps to disappear. With over 700 cars it should be possible to race just about anything with a few normal upgrades and a bit of tuning if the cars are classed properly.
