Hey all, I did a search and got tons of hits about the glitch that used to exist. I tried sifting through them but wasn’t getting anywhere. I’m looking to deliberately reset my driver level. Can this be done? Reason being is that I get so tired of hearing all the comments in the lobbies about how high it is and the ramming that I have to deal with because of it.
No offense to you but even absolute ***** can be level 2,000 or higher; it all comes down to time invested and/or money invested. Unsure which classes you run online, but you could consider going higher to S-class or better. The people that comment on you usually lack the driver skill to run high speed cars pixel perfect
Don’t bother with it, just ignore and block them and enjoy your game. Even if you rest your game you would still be higher than most quickly, because your addicted to the game just like the rest of us.
Only problem there is that people complained long and loud about it, even though it really didn’t matter aside from bragging rights (or the occasional jerk who would try and kick yo because of your “low” level).
Yeah, I think crunchy purposely said that as a joke considering the circumstances of this thread and those that have come before it.
As for a level reset - although you explain your reasoning, I still have to ask “Why?”. Don’t let others dictate how your devotion to the game is recognized. That said, I don’t believe there are any end-user utilities for resetting your driver level.
I loved the 256 glitch. People give me static and I’m only ~900. I only get to play 3-4 hours 2 days a week because of RL so it’s not like it’s difficult to have a level like that.
Only idiots would think that the driver level means anything. When people start ranting, just tell them that it doesn’t matter the driver level. You don’t get perks for having a higher level. You don’t get add-ons. You literally don’t get anything because of your driver level. Like rabbit said earlier, we’re addicted to the game. Our driver level is gonna be high no matter what.
I can’t say i look for peoples driving level, the game has been out 8 months and it only takes a few hours a day to really rank that high, i say fair play to you. don’t let it bother you.
I am in the same boat. High driver level and hear comments. I just laugh it off or ignore. You need a thick skin on the internet. Not sure about ramming but I do get the feeling sometimes that some people don’t like being passed so you better make the next turn fast.
All that matters is your reputation, i.e., being a clean driver and having a pleasant demeanor.
lou in previous forza’s you could have started a public lobby and had people fill your room without invites. then if someone didn’t like it or you they could find another room with or without your help you’ve discovered “start a private match” isn’t always an option. like the ring…there really is a reason so many long time fans feel let down. and wait till telemetry in replays makes a come back. you’ll be able to make a better tune in less than half the time and see problems you never suspected.
right now you best option seems to be to tune a car with a quick launch so you can pass them at the start and not have to worry about them until you are lapping them. if you know they are going to intentionally hit you fake a pass to the outside then cut back and pass on the inside. once you are too wide on a turn its much harder to get back to the inside than it is to go to the outside and trying to keep speed with you will push them even wider. if they slow down waiting for you to wreck you trying to avoid them puts your car off balance. feign to one side then drive right thru them, their car will be the one off balance. if you wont drive thru them make sure your front tires are even with their back tires when the wreck happens. the car with control/steerring at the point of impact will win, thats why police use the pit manuver.
Thanks for all the responses everyone. I did some looking into resetting my game save. It’ll basically start me all over again, but it won’t wipe out my leaderboard times. That’s all I really care about at this point. I’m very frustrated with the public lobbies and the ramming that takes place. I do race mostly in private ones, but answering questions about how I got my driver level so high has become incredibly annoying. I realize that I’m addicted to the game and I’m going to have a high level no matter what, but I will reset it again if I have to.
How high is it that you’re getting grief? I’m around 1300 and haven’t really got any. Under 2000 I’d be surprised if you got any since its fairly easy to get that if you’ve played consistently since launch. If your sitting in the 4000 plus range I could see comments as it’s probably 4x what people are used to seeing. Your level really does mean nothing especially with xp boosts and VIP.
If they are wrecking you it’s because you’re faster not because of your level. I almost hate to say it but with the amount you’ve improved your mighty close to being elite even if you still think your a beginner.
Well, I appreciate those words, even if I don’t agree with you on the elite part at all. I’m still far too flawed to even begin to think about that adjective…
My driver level is over 3K. I think its almost 3,200, IIRC. The problem is, every time I get a little bit of success, I’m not satisfied with it. I’ll run 40 more laps to better my time by a lousy tenth. Next thing I know, I’ve leveled up 7 or 8 times in one rivals session. With the Ring being added to the game, I’m leveling up at an alarming rate because I want to learn the track really well. You almost level up with each lap around it. You more than level up with a lap around the Ring+GP. That’s why I’m not concerned with starting over, since I thoroughly enjoy the Ring, I’ll have 50 million credits again in a week
Don’t reset. Simple answer is you’re fortunate enough to have the free time to devote to your new hobby and chose to focus on one game rathar than many. My level would be close to yours if I didn’t play Titanfall, Ryse, and Assassins Creed.
I have been reset once thanks to a sync error and the only things I had to really work to get back was lvls, money, and cars. Everything else I had was already there in my tunes or paints. Just a simple reinstall to your car when you get it and ur good to go. The badges also just start popping up while you race also.
