I suck at drifting, so can somebody teach me the basics?

I know this is an old topic, but I was in the same boat.
My advice, which is what personally worked for me but may be totally wrong…
Step one: go to your settings and turn off assists. I left steering on normal, but I recommend turning off abs, reaction control, and stability control, and switched to manual w/ clutch. This may take time to get used to but its worthwhile.
Step two: go to YouTube and watch the drift bible.
This will give you at the very least a decent starting point, and you can tweak your style from there.
