Drag racing in private lobby?

I’ve been trying to set-up a drag lobby online cant find the setting for it.

I’ve got drag racing in free play but when i start a private lobby with friends there is no drag racing option only timed race drift…

I had to invite a friend in the multiplayer lobby then start a private game. We’ve been able to drift and race but after spending alot of time in single player trying to perfect my drag tune i realize we can’t even compete…

Change race type from custom to drag.

There is no option to drag online

Maybe you should own the game and attempt to start an online private drag race? The option is not there its custom race drift timed…

OK so one of the main things I like in the Motorsport games is the Drag racing, not a fan of people using supercars for Drag but that doesn’t really matter, so I Kinda understand there is no Drag and Drift lobbies right now, those might come later, well drift will. but Drag seems like you can only do it in free play. I wanted to try drag racing with my friend in my Dodge Dart Hemi SS, but even in Private lobbies you can’t choose to do drag… What the heck man.

Just wondering if it is something that is coming and is a bit behind or if it was just set aside to die.

I wouldn’t mind just Freeplay against the AI if there was some competition, but my Dart is fast off the line and the game puts them in Lambos and Ford GTs and such(Much like what I saw a lot of on Forza Motorsport 6 in the multiplayer)

I too would like to know if online drag is coming. Also i would like to know if we can get some prep on the actual drag strips like hockenheim and sonoma. Or what would even be better since no prep is a big thing in outlaw drag racing is if in the settings to a drag race lobby, you can choose if you want a fully prepped drag track or no prep.

Another thing im missing that kinda has to do with drag racing is test and tune and the test track open area because i used to like testing my car on the runway and then go behind the garage buildings and test on bare asphalt. Helped me get my car right for drag and street.

Probably going to be paid DLC to be honest , the game is all about the cash now. Remove features to sell them back to us.

To be honest though, the physics are so bad on some of these cars that it feels like it’s a drifting car anyway. Most races feel like a drifting race.

Maybe I have it wrong, drifting is free but to actually get a racing game we must buy future DLC

just a scam of a game

I’m having the same issue. Is it broken?

Is there a way to set up drag racing in a private lobby with friends I have been unable to find it

Not yet as far as I am aware, fingers crossed for soon tho.

Private lobbies really need to be updated.

No drag racing, no drivatars… Right now it’s in a very sorry state.

No tag either, not even in free play…

Just found this last night too. why is this not an option? Absurd.

You can drag race in free race but not a private lobby. What gives?

Yes. Totally absurd.

Private lobbies have no drag, no drift and no AI. Absurd.

Turn 10, in my opinion has no direction anymore. No real understanding of car culture, what people can actually do to and with cars these days. It’s seems filled with programmers that may “like” cars, maybe have seen a race or two. Not folks that have a passion for motorsport, which includes drag racing. Which is one of the fastest growing motorsports there is over the last few years. Along with drifting.

Again, my opinion, but even as a business/developer standpoint, why in the world would you not try to capitalize on the popularity of the No Prep, Street Outlaw (they DO run at actual tracks sometimes) and fix or add at least some of the things that have been brought up since the 1st couple games. It doesn’t make sense to me.

Alan Hartman and his crew need to go to some local, small tracks and watch some test and tune nights, or check out the weekend racers. Then work their way up to watching, in person, some professional racing. Talk to folks that are actually part of it all. Going to track days and getting to drive exotics around because you’re wealthy doesn’t make you a car guy or car people. There’s a huge difference. To me, the direction this series has gone is showing that.

Racing suits and loot crates are great for the “gamer”, just like Call of Duty. Those of us that ARE car people, well at least me, would much more appreciate actual improvements to the core game, fixing the debacle that was drag in 6, or whatever you want to call drag in 7.

Things I would have rather seen than racing suits, an actual drag upgrade path (Drag chassis, drag trans, drag suspension, PROPER wheel options, an actual tree or at least a countdown that you can get to your rpm before the half second mark. I could keep going, hopefully I got my point across.

If anybody has the means and knowledge about making a game, if love to help make a proper drag racing game. I had big hopes that after 6 games of drag racing being an afterthought that this time it would at least be functional. So much for that.

To reiterate, this is all just the opinion of a disappointed Forza fan and drag racing fan. So much potential completely wasted! Sad.
