Does grid size affect end of race purse?

Curious cause I really don’t like fighting 23 drivatars around a technical track.

30 laps around Daytona Oval:

Earnings with 2 Drivatars: 33,000 CR
Earnings with 11 Drivatars: 41,000 CR

Short answer is yes from what one of industrious mods posted the other day at least 11 for full pay out could be less but you would have to do a bunch of 1 lap races reducing the number of AI drivers till you find the minumn number.

Or do what I do Buckets I set up 2 for free play and set Dtivtars to one catgory down from what im racing in so If im in a S class they will be driving A class or you can also set ther grip front and back and horsepower to way less than yours using the sliders in advanced set up for the buckets.

I just run the full amount of 24 but I never see the last dozen or so. Even on the random grid, you can get to 12th before the first corner demolition derby. I am curious if there is a cutoff point like 16 cars and above you are no better off CR wise.

Grid size does effect potential payout. I had a long post on this a few weeks ago, but the short version:
Adding 23 drivatars for a full 24-car field increases the prize purse as much as 70% (estimate). I tested this with 24 different races on Rio Mountain, placed in each spot and checked the payouts. Base payout per lap without drivatar is 1000 credits, with 23 drivatars. it is 1700 credits.
A word of caution though, adding drivaitars on any track is only profitable if you finish above the mid point in the field.
Ex. For the 24-car field in Rio Mountain:
1st Place = 1700 credits
12th Place = 1000 credits (base credits per lap)
24th Place = 353 credits.

And base payout per lap is not determined solely by lap distance. Rio Mountain is 1.01 miles and pays 1000 credits but Homestead Oval is 1.5 miles and only pays 810 credits, This test was on 1 track, so your mileage may vary

I’m guessing credits per minute is pretty close on both of those cases.
