Do game bug patches still happen?

So i bought Forza Motorsport 7 last week, and everything seemed fine.

Spent over 5 hours tuning the Jaguar XJ220, only to find out that the windscreen wipers dont work in the rain because of a game bug … so that really sucked and felt like my time was wasted.

I have sent a support ticket through this site, along with in-game video footage of the bug, but there has been no reply so far.

Support ticket number #79543

With Forza Motorsport 8 releasing later this year, i was just wondering if Motorsport 7 still gets update patches and if bugs get fixed?

As a new player to this game series, my first impressions of Forza Motorsport are pretty bad right now.

No patches for a long time, while not technically end of life it is getting there and short of something major, that does not sound like something they will fix at this point.

They announced end of support for the game sometime last year I think.

I think the game is complete and will not get anything. Critical bugs for sure, nothing else. It’s almost three years old game already.

M7 has some troubles from start. It depends on you if you buy M8 or not. Could be better.

Support for FM7 ended last August. There won’t be any patches or fixes at this point. Which view were you using? I think there was one where the wipers don’t work, possibly the hood view but not really sure.

They said no content updates. CONTENT being the key word. Patches are possible however unlikely. It is not EOL yet but as I said it has to be a big problem.

I don’t know if it actually happened yet as it was already postponed once, but the recently scheduled maintenance downtime was for multiplayer only. I don’t know what exactly it was for, but it had nothing to do with the main game.

FM7 was a terrible forza to start, shouldve got FM4/FM6 first, and 7 is no longer updated so that bug will stay there till the end of time, i hope FM8 will be another FM4

There is a bug with counting laps achievements. I created support ticket and got information, they will fix it (but after half year, no patch released)…

FM7 is the worst FM to start with. In my opinion, after playing them all, FM7 is the worst overall. Some things are better, but not enough to make me prefer it over FM6. Some think it’s the best but I guess it depends what you want out of it. Compared to all the other FMs, FM7 is the closest to Forza Horizon but with tracks.

FM6 is still THE best FM for me. I keep trying to get stuck into FM7 for the Leagues and Forza GT lobbies, but nowadays there’s hardly anyone playing - or you join a half-full lobby, get excited for a good race, the race starts and you realise 80% of the players have never driven a Forza GT car before and by the end of the race you’re left with three of you. I jump back to FM6 for a quick few online races and most times lobbies are at least half full of decent racers and I end up racing for hours…

Cars mostly sound so much better on FM6 too, especially with headphones. FM6 isn’t perfect but it’s much better than FM7 - much closer to the feeling of racing online actually.

Multiplayer isn’t as chaotic unless you get in a lobby with squealy kids who don’t know how to brake. At least the game doesn’t hang for an hour when switching cars.

I’d say FM6 is better now then before FM7 was released.

I thought I’d grind my way through FM5/6 to get my rewards up. 5 was good, 6 was superb then I started playing 7. How the hell they managed to turn out that turd of a game I’ll never know. It’s so bad I doubt I’ll be buying 8 and I’m about to give up playing it and to hell with the rewards I’ll miss. If 8 has mods/drivatars I’m out and sticking with the Horizon games which are soooooo much fun!

7 was rushed, 8 is supposed to be a soft reboot, they also have been really working with the community lately, and FM7 got partially fixed and tested on, 8 will have a different AI, similiar to MotoGP19 which was shown at last years GDC

No, they announced the end of content updates and said that there could be bug patches. I’m not making it up. Enough. Does it mean there will be any? Probably not.

You can’t know if they released bug fix server side patches

Did I say the word server? No. I don’t understand why everyone has to chime in and put words in my mouth. That is what they said in a Forza monthly. Believe me or don’t. A little help Max? I am just the messenger.

Be nice to know what the server maintenance was about.

“That doesn’t necessarily mean all support for Forza Motorsport 7 will be pulled next month, however. According to Esaki, Turn 10 is on board with releasing patches and hotfixes to remedy smaller issues with the game”

ok then thanks for wasting my time

Techincally, doesn’t end of support mean “no patches, no updates, no nothing?”

There’s a fair amount of stuff that needs fixing in their older FM and FH games, but they didn’;t get around to it, did they?
