I’m new to forza series and racing games in general. At the moment I’m playing on PC with controller but also have a wheel which I might use later if I find space to set it up. As a new forza player is it better to play with assists off and car difficulty on easy/medium or assists turned on with difficult on hard? I want a challenge but i dont want to come last in every race, If a mixture of both then which assists should i turn off? I’ve already turned rewind off and breaking line on.
Depends on your driving style the good thing is you can turn assists on or off whenever you feel like it if your new i would run a few races with assist on and then remove em slowly thats how i started.
When i first played i had settings set to new drivers and has i got better i increased the difficulty now i pretty much play expert and try my hand at pro sometimes have even tried unbeatable once or twice.
Don’t waste your time with hard AI difficulty. The leading AI car has very strong rubberband on Expert and above. It’s been an issue with Forza Horizon from the very beginning, yet Playground never does a thing about it, perhaps because they’re fond of the NFS-style AI which is entirely artificial.
As for assists, use whatever you feel like.
Sprints are easier than circuits. Cross country is easier than asphalt. Lower car classes are easier than higher car classes. You can turn up the AI difficulty on all of those and usually just overpower it.
But if you want to become a better driver you’ll turn off the assists instead. You can go faster without them after a bit of practice. Manual w/clutch, no traction control, no ABS probably make the biggest difference as far as going faster.
Awesome to see a new player, welcome!
