So today I started FH5, and I noticed that I got a gift. Apparently I got all 5 cars from the Welcome Pack, despite me not buying it for myself. I would like to know if anyone else experienced the same thing or not. Like, is it a gift from someone on my friends list? I’m not entirely sure.

when i use the " cloud " i get all the packs ( and vip too )… on the console only what i’ve purchased , i don’t know why

Nope, no gift for me.
I think its free it doesnt matter what version of the game do you have. Also, it was the same on FH4. I never bought any DLCs just the standard edition and i got the formula drift pack and other cars for free. In FH5 im playing the pe so i would not know for sure. But you dont get the cars from the msg tab, you need to go directly to the autoshow and look on car packs or something. At least in the pc version.
Assuming they didnt even bother to change it, it should be the same on FH5.

I got IT free too. I had message about free car token so i was looking how to spent it. I found out i got all extra cars in garage.
I got the welcome pack also but can not access the cars now it tells me to purchase them

Be sure you are in your garage and not in the autoshow…
I have the cars in my garage and when I select the cars it says please purchase them from the Microsoft store or Xbox they are in my garage I am not in the auto show I have used the cars but now cannot use them after restarting the game.
I downloaded the welcome pack the cars are in my garage I have used them once and after restarting the game they are still in my garage I am not the auto show I know the difference thank you for being thorough I guess. When I select one of the cars in my garage it tells me to purchase them from the Microsoft marketplace or Xbox app. Would you like screenshots so you can understand?
If you have them in the garage and used them and they’re still in the garage after restarting … You’ve got them.
Going into the Autoshow is just where you buy more… seems to be a bug unless the welcome pack wasn’t meant to be downloaded if not actually bought.
The “Welcome Pack” cars aren’t especially useful anyway, since you can’t use them for challenges and accolades that requite those specific cars – you have to buy/win the equivalent non-“Welcome pack” version. I think this is probably yet another bug, but it was infuriating until I figured it out.

I now have a total of about 15 cars I have used one time each and can no longer access and they are in my garage when I select any of the cars I get this exact message.

Again I have used each of these cars and have saved tunes I created for them. I will not be removing anything from my garage or redownloading reinstalling anything data is not free when you live 15 miles from the nearest business and over a mile from the nearest neighbor. How about you all stop ripping people off and hire some competent Dev’s who actually fix code or just make sure it works before you sell it in the first place.
One more thing Why not go ahead and make the game full contact at all times especially in open drift since the player in front of me can destroy and wreck all the deformable terrain that affects all other players anyway causing a bad experience for something you boast about in your rules of conduct disclaimer.
I woke up yesterday 14/03/2022 to the welcome pack cars in my garage?? I didnt purchase the welcome pack but was able to drive these cars and spend a good few hours painting them to my spec spending at least 500,000 credits… today these cars are not accessible unless i purchase them?? Is this a glitch in the matrix or a dirty way of making us purchasing these cars?? Not our fault its on xbox games pass for free!! Some feedback would be appreciated 
its just a simple bug that some people are able to use payed-dlc-cars without paying
I got this message last week too (playing standard game via GamePass on Series X). I was able to download and use all the DLC cars for the night. The next day the cars were all in my garage still but when I selected one I got a message that I did not own the DLC.
I was also getting weekly VIP Super Wheel Spins for the longest time towards the beginning. That stopped several weeks ago but that same night that I got the DLC cars I also received 10 Super Wheel Spins in my messages which I did spin.
This game man, lol.
Edit: Oh yeah, I also got a voucher for a car and some clothing which I redeemed. I didn’t even know those were a thing.
Welcome back pack is not a dlc per se. It is gifted to many players (me included) but dont ask me why. It is. I got it in FH4 as well, despite never buying any DLC or playing more than a couple of months in FH3. Anyways, its a terrible pack, and again, cars are so many and so easy to get that you are perfrectly fine without any car dlc. In fact i wonder why people buy these dlcs… lol.
