FWIW I have a 7900XTX and the FPS is the same with FSR Quality on or off soā¦Native and Raster my manā¦put that 4090 to work

Iāve noticed that as well, FSR doesnāt seem to make any performance impact on my 6700 XT. Currently rendering 4K60 at medium settings.
Is there a way to tell if FSR is working? My research hasnāt found anything yet.

3090 - 4K Ultra settings and I gain no performance increase by moving between different DLSS settings (lower resolutions).
The performance issues in this game are not always related to your hardware or available performance at the moment it dips.

The reason weāre getting wildly inconsistent performance across a range of hardware is because something is wrong with the game internally.
The reason for the stuttering is frame pacing issues.
Even if you have 60fps at 4Kā¦ If you look at a frame time graphic using MSI Afterburner, the frame times are all over the place. Those increased frame times also coincide with frame dips which is seen as stutter.
Another poster suggested using Riva Tuner, to limit the fps using specific settings designed to smooth out frame pacing and for the most part it works. But this is only a band aid, and the real cure has to come form the developers.
Iām not a developer, so I donāt know exactly what, or where the problem is. All I know is itās somewhere in the rendering pipeline because thatās where frame times/generation come from.
Also, the fact FM performs better with SAM (Smart Access Memory), or Rebar, turned OFF is a big indicator there is something wrong in the rendering pipeline, or how draw calls are being processed/sent from the CPU to the GPU because SAM is meant to reduce that bottleneck to some degree along the I/O chain. Reduced latency usually means more and smoother frames, but this isnāt happening.

I used to work for Electronic Arts. We allowed remote work decades ago. Talent is talent, and itās hard to find world-class talent. Juniors were expected in the office to learn and be mentored. Once youād proven yourself, we didnāt care where you worked as long as you were happy and productive. A lot of game companies were like that long before COVID

World class talent (except for some few enthusiasts) isnāt working in the gaming industry as they can make much more money elsewhere.
How do you mentor juniors at the office if the seniors or leads are working from home or elsewhere?
I think overall the game CORE is good, the physics are fine way better than 7
BUT. I cannot bend to this, this gamepass policy fake players count numbers is 90% the reason I cannot touch this game anymore it reeks the modern consumer product, the lack of communication, the commerical community management who disrepects the player. Microsoft and Turn 10 have to pull the plug, communicate on HOW the game progress ? are they planning to fix the TAA blurry resolution for cockpit view ? can you AT least put a proper road map ? even the previous career events are DELETED. JESUS STOP THIS FOMO NONSENSE. stop manipulating the consumers. your hate is deserved.
I was a defender of this game for the 1st months excepting communication and good evolution, but no when I see playground/turn10 devs showing us the game with arrows automatic transmission and many driving aids ? I cannot deny that Dan Greenwaldt was a real racing sim enthusiat, he even mentionned GT Legends when doing the promotion of FM2 in 2007 on a issue for small online magazine focused on racing sims on PC, it felt genuine, but Dan is older he have much more responsability, and the change of directors at every knew FM is not helping at all, it lacks direction, cohesion - Forza code is a hellscape, Online play is a mess, players minmax and exploit penality system, and they let rot the problem for months. WOW
I mean COME ON, PULL THE PLUG NOW we need TRANSPARENCY.

Try to understand what itās really about! If you order (and pay for) meat and get fish instead, itās of little use to you if others say fish is good too. Not if you have a fish allergy.
For those of us who steer their cars from the driverās perspective, our needs are completely different than those of RC drivers.

I bought the premium edition and Iām still not that angry at it. Not sure what your going on about RC cars for but eh. I use cockpit cam, please donāt give me the elitist bs i was a pc Sim racer.
I enjoy driving cars in a video game essentially you can do this in FM.
Again yes it needs fixing but itās not unplayable

Iām not saying the game is unplayable. My position is: I have already paid for the āplayableā game before. Itās called FM7. I also paid for games with a higher level of simulation (ACC). Now Iāve paid for a game that delivers such great graphics in the āIn Game Footageā trailers. If T10 changes the direction of the game, then I would simply like to withdraw from the purchase. I wouldnāt be here anymore if I had gotten my money back.

Someone posted this interview somewhere. Dan Greenawalt and Chris Esaki say that they can add things to the game. And rather quickly too. It seems to me they wanted us to start with the Builderās Cup first and then they will add other cups or whatever theyāll name it next. But WHY? Why not add it right away. Itās clear now that this gameās (career mode) is missing so much content it should have! Why give us only 1 Cup? Why not 5 or 10? Seriously, you can blast through the Builderās Cup in less than a week. Now in FM4 it took me well over a year and I still hadnāt finished everything. Same for GT, it has CONTENT.
I really hope they will add more cups soon. Think of Endurance, Drift, Drag, F1, etc. There are so many different racing disciplines and car types and we only get 1 Builderās Cup. It feels like they released a demo rather than a full game. Pretty sad, especially when you read that they say they can add things to the game much quicker than before.
Oh, and please make the introās for the next Cups a but more exciting. Iām really tired already of the ones we have now. Itās the same thing over and over again. Just look at how GT7 and Motorfest handle it. Even FH5 does it better if they add new introās.

I donāt agree with anything you say in this thread. I tried several times to write a pleasant reply and Iām struggling - your tone is patronising to the extreme and I just feel the need to rise to it.
Without doing so as best I can now - Not everybody can get a refund. Whether people āgrew up withā a franchise has absolutely no bearing on the quality of the product they sold us.
You seem to be going very far out of your way to stick up for and defend an entity (the studio) that doesnāt seem very interested in you.
