December Bounty Hunter Rivals and award cars

Whoo…more cars locked to everyone but the elite few.

I’m really looking forward to not getting even more cars!

Really tired of seeing this smart a$$ comment!!!

Maybe it’s not about the destination; it’s about the journey.
Maybe it’s not about the prize you’ll (not) receive, but about enjoying playing the game while doing this event.

Or maybe it’s about being tired of being forced to play an area of the game I don’t want to just for a chance to get a car, when in reality, it’s highly unlikely that I’ll reach the goal of getting that car. It’s not fun, it’s just frustrating.

If you’re so certain that you won’t even be able to beat Phil Spencer, whose experience with Forza consists solely of playing the E3 demos, then I feel bad for you. You’re always complaining about challenges when the whole point of racing games is to challenge yourself to beat other people. If you don’t do rivals, and don’t go online, then what do you actually do on this game?

There is this thing called career, try it sometime!!

And you’re always acting arrogant, your point being?

Rivals and Online aren’t the bread and butter of this game for a fair number of people. That title goes to the Career and Free Play. Or are you so blinded by your fanboyism of multiplayer that you can’t see the rest of the game?

The whole point of racing games is to…well…race. Not chase a ghost around a track for days on end to not beat it.

Racing involves competition, which involves a challenge. I’m sorry if I come across as arrogant but you have such a defeatist attitude about these things and I find it annoying. I don’t get why you’d be so frustrated about possibly not getting one car which you’ll most likely never drive, and why you say that there’s no chance you can get it when the guy hasn’t even set his first time yet.

As you always say, different types of people play this game, and a lot of people enjoy having these challenges and getting a reward for beating it. Just because you don’t like working to earn cars doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t like it.

So you know what I’ll drive now, do you? While I do have my preferences, I do try to drive every vehicle available in a game.

I have a “defeatist attitude” because I’ve never been able to beat one of these before.

Why do you need a reward for beating it? Why can’t you just enjoy the challenge and take pride in actually beating the time?

Why I dont complety agree with TA he has a point so far there have been 3 cars in this game I have not been able to get due to not being Fast enough. Now the attitude of any one can do it is false just look at the Boards for the Last two Bountys less than 800 out of 30,000or so got the first one and about 2,800 out of 30,000 or so got the othe cars for that bounty. So my defenition and yours of a lot of players differs A lot would be at least 20% to 50% being able to beat the challenge not less than 1% Less than 1% is very little not a lot.

Now then take my personal situation go and smash 3 fingers on each hand remove all feeling in the right hand and then attach a Tens machine to the top of both legs and both Knees and turn up full and then go racing then come back with the attitude of any one can beat the times set in the Bounty Hunt events. Last 2 bounty hunts I put in over 100 laps in each may have been over 200 was not really keeping count.

And I can tell you this there are quite a few playes just on this forum with more problems than I have and you coments really rub the wrong way. None of us expect any special treatment but to be told were not trying hard enough or need to put in more effort well just bites and rubs in the salt.

Nobody is “forcing” you to do anything in this game. This is Forza Motorsport, not Kim Jong Un’s Pyongyang Motorsport 7.

If you can’t beat the guy, tough. That’s the whole point of this event - to be faster than someone, not to cry and moan and hope that a car will be handed over to you on a diamond platter because you use the same old “I paid 60 bucks for this game so I deserve everything bla bla bla”. Jesus, who knows, the car you wanted probably won’t be on offer in this event and you’re saying this stuff because you want to cause a scene.

He isn’t acting arrogant, he’s making a point, and you’re contradicting yourself - all aspects of this game are meant to challenge you, including multiplayer, which, well, surprise surprise, involves racing. Rivals events challenge you to be faster than people on a leaderboard. All of that is racing.

Don’t like it? Don’t do it, and wait for it to appear on SD or maybe wait for an opportunity that is more in reach like your keyboard is.

Actually, I paid £80 for this game, and the cars that they’re locking behind these events were advertised to be in the game from launch. So yes, in this case, I do deserve them.

I’m saying this stuff because I’m sick of content being locked behind things. If you need to lock content away in order to entice someone to play a certain area, one that they don’t want to, then maybe you need to re-evaluate that area because it clearly isn’t enjoyable to them.

Did I claim multiplayer isn’t racing, or is your comprehension failing you again?

The whole locking cars thing is another debate, but the way I see it, Turn 10 included those cars in the game, and just like any other developer, they can make those cars accessible based on what they think suits them. Personally I don’t like that idea, and they should include a way for those without Xbox Live to unlock those cars in career. But it is how it is, it’s their game, and we paid cash to play the game how they set it out.

As I said, the decision on whether you want to play a certain area lies entirely within you, and if you don’t want to then you can wait for your desired car to appear in the SD or elsewhere.

Nah, I just wanted to make sure that you knew that multiplayer and rivals also classifies as racing, cause in your haze of moaning, you didn’t seem to know that.

Perhaps this is true for you, but I have enjoyed Rivals because they actually make me a better racer. If you enjoy career mode (I do as well), and have a problem with the rest, just play career and free play. It’s your game, and you’re entitled to play it however you like.

But if you’re not interested in Rivals, why post negative comments in a thread about Rivals?

Yeah, too bad about those players who might have a physical impairment or just a time commitment other than “git gud @ Forza”.

Those customers don’t deserve to have these locked cars, right?

Jesus Christ.

Bingo. We aren’t good enough, so all of the elitist folk can look down upon us and sneer.

Maybe because when we bought it, we had time to play it. And now that we don’t have as much time, we play it when we can. Not when we’re told we have to or else miss out on content.

What’s the problem? You think it’s unfair that there is an event for everyone to join because you don’t have time to participate? And reward cars aren’t fair because you can’t get them? They even give everyone a free car just for participating…

I think the Bounty Hunter challenges are awesome, and i’m glad you have to give it your best. Didn’t beat the first bounty hunter rival but it was nice to keep trying, did get the last one though, after putting every little bit of spare time i had throughout the last week. Working towards a time that seems impossible is half the fun if you ask me.

Sigh… you have enough time complaining about it before this event has started though.

Ok: cancel the event then.

Cancel every sporting event too because most of us can’t compete with the top players.

And cancel Christmas too because some people can’t be with their family on that day and it’s unfair to them.

If the challenges are so awesome, then why do you all need a car to motivate you to try and beat it? Why is beating the challenge not enough of a reward in itself for you?

Because I can glance at my phone while I’m out and reply to a few threads that’s suddenly a lot of spare time?

You’re going through some serious mental gymnastics because you clearly love to wave these cars in front of other people and go “look at me, I’m so great because I have this and you don’t”.

Again, why is the satisfaction of beating the challenge not enough? Why do you need to have exclusive content for it?

Except all the cars that they’ve locked away behind these were quite clearly advertised to be in the game from launch. I paid 80 pounds and didn’t get what was promised. It’s bordering on false advertisement.
