In FH3 if I bid on a car that was upgraded I would get the parts with it and obviously, everyone has different taste to how a car should handle I could go unlock the car in upgrades and change wheels or other items and my final tally at the checkout would show 0CR if I used parts already provided with the car and get charged the balance. I understand the Tune side where you unlock you lose the tune supplied and tune it yourself which is fine. Currently, I can only see it worthwhile to purchase a standard car in the AH because if it handles like a sack of potatoes when you get it and say it is upgraded from stock to S1, S2 or R and any attempt to correct the issues or even change the wheels in the upgrade section will remove all parts from the car and you need to spend many CR all over again. Is this correct or a bug? If it is correct the buying a 400k car that is valued at 100-130K in the MP or whatever is borderline insane.
