The track lights at Daytona look bad since the February 5th update.
They do not have the same intensity as before the update. At a distance they even appear off because of this. Track is lit up correctly, but the track lights do not look correct.
I noticed this when I loaded it up to see if wheels were still disappearing on night races. I don’t know if this was design choice or a bug. It looks bad so I’m guessing it wasn’t intentional.
I’m running at Ultra settings with everything turned up in Custom except 60 fps and 100% scaling. Additionally, I’ve been running with Car Model Quality at Dynamic to get around the wheels disappearing. I wish I didn’t have to, as it was fine before an update broke the LOD on wheels (at night).
Thanks for posting this. I thought I was the only one experiencing this whole “Wheels disappearing” thing at night, where the cars’ wheels vanish and they appear to be floating like hovercrafts. This bug has been in the game since at least early to mid last year. Not only do the wheels disappear, but the cars’ textures and color change at random in the distance. Very jarring. Hopefully they will address this in an upcoming patch.
