Daily Challenge "Road Trip" not activating, not counting any miles I drive (in either race or FR)

The cars I used to gain the .62 miles weren’t capable of more than about 140mph. I may resort to a PR Jump again!

had no issue doing this
didn’t matter what car or what speed I was doing

Helped persons do trial twice with the Bugatti 35, then did a forzathon with my rally bettle. Quit game out, reloaded, and drove around in another car for a while. Currently sitting at 0.16 km of progress out of the 16. It is a messed up achievement that situationally but seemingly permanently breaks with no real cause or solution. Last time for me it was only countng progress while I was on the beach. But I quit game, came back later and same car on beach would no longer count progress. After three days and lots of play, time expired with only the bit of beach farming ever counted.

If they cannot fix it, they should just remove it.

yeah it is speed have to be going 250mph. just drive back and forth on highway. takes about 10min. i used moseler x class

I used my Ariel Nomad (A800 AWD with Snow Tyres) and did the PR Jump near the Festival Site and managed it relatively quickly. I have had to resort to that before to complete a driving challenge.

With 60 FPS it was strange but sometimes worked. Highway was always a solution for me before but this time I normally played and it’s done. Sometimes it doesn’t count at all.

Sticking to the highway is the key. I completed it with a C Class car that could only go 135 max.

I drove from my Lake House to Edenburg (sp?) and back in my MK6 Golf and the task popped as completed. As Galaxie5002012 stated, I did stay on the road for a very leisurely ‘check out the winter scene’ road trip.

This is because you are running with VSYNC at 60FPS, see the game uses FPS to count the distance driven, or so i was told by support a few months back, when i sent in a ticket on this, why you may ask? because reasons. the solution is to goto video settings, set the FPS as low as it will go, 20fps in my case, makes those challenges count 100% of the distance driven, 30fps lowers the count to some 20-30% of distance driven, also it varies from car to car, its REALLY FUBAR.
If you wanna be REALLY confused, set a route on the map, make a note of the challenge numbers you have so far, in the history of the make a note of the distance it has driven, then in your stats, make a note of how far you have driven total, now drive the route, and check the numbers again. Do this at 20, 30 and 60fps, i think it was on the Maserati MC12 FE, where there car history number was counting 200% of the actual distance driven, while challenge and total stats were acting normal.

NOTE: for some reason, some cars doesnt count anything at all, at any FPS, on dirt roads… again, because reasons.

Yeah, looks like the behavior I had. 60 FPS is the only option for me so it takes more time but it’s obtainable.
