Had anyone got the daily challenge to complete today? I’ve done a few races and drove all over the map at a single go without any miles showing up as completed. Any help would be greatly appreciated…
Yep, two accounts so far. Combo of freeroam and forzathon live.
Even though I have driven over 50 miles I only see 2.19 miles. When I first started it was stuck on 0.02 for about 10 of those 50.
I had the same problem, until I changed to a different car (and did some driving on the highway in freeroam).
Just did a Forzathon Live event, no miles shown at all…different cars as well.
Edit/Update: Did not start registering until I got into my Mclaren F1GT and did more than 250 mph…Completed it, but they need to start including a little more information with Daily Challenges like that.
First thing I did when I came online was forzathon live. Maybe that’s where the problem starts? Try changing to another car now and see if it works (personally I used an Agera RS).

I was doing a custom race and ended outside of the map somehow and got it just driving around out of bounds.
I entered the Gauntlet in an Alfa Romeo Giulia FE, and activated it without even knowing about it.
Done it three times now, 3 different cars. One was completed on fortune island that I did 1 race, rest in free roam.

I did a couple of rivals events and they all counted - no problem
I just drove around on the roads for a 6-7 mins and it worked so nothing special needed. Any issues are a bug.
Bug in horizon what a suprise. I was drive today maybe 500km without zero progress but driving motorway with mosler gets the job done.

The Mosler did the trick for me - however, I paid attention to speed and the count did not always trigger.
I think or have the impression it is connected to something like clean racing or high-speed skill chain for it to trigger the count. Speed itself will not trigger - at least that’s what I observed.
Maybe - then again this is Playground - so could be just buggy 
I had to limit my fps to 30 to get it working (it was on 60). So if you are on PC like me this may fix it.
This worked for me on Xbox One X as well. I changed the graphics mode in video settings from performance (60 fps) to quality (30 fps) and it started counting at any speed in several cars I tried. Don’t hit anything solid though, as this stops the counter. If you bring your car to a full stop for a few seconds and then resume it will start counting again without switching cars. Works on road and off road and small breakables like fences and bushes didn’t seem to affect it.

Did the “Road Trip” daily task in my Capri FE…, the miles kept ticking down just fine
I drove from Bamburgh to Edinburgh, took the top road almost as far as Ambleside and returned to the Festival. Drove a bit more and got the mileage up to .29 of a mile! I then drove a different car from the Festival to Broadway, out to the Motorway and took that North taking the first exit and the top of the map and following that road back to the Festival. I reached the dizzy heights of .62 of a mile! I did the Waterhead Sprint (another different car) and gained nothing.
These driving challenges seem to be seriously broken as I have had issues before. One I had to complete by doing a PR Jump enough times to get the mileage!

It seems to be speed related, it’s only counting above 250 mph / 400 kmh.
I just went up and down the highway (total of 10.5 mi / 17 km), which should trigger it, but only had a few meters counting.
Now I concentrated on keeping the speed above 250mph and already halfway (8,85 / 16km)

Definitely seems speed related. It wasn’t counting for me, but I just blasted up and down the highway like you suggested & I got it no problem.
