D3D12 support Required?

Well Im currently reinstalling the drivers and the game has a patch which is downloading too, with a bit of luck, hopefully some improvement.

And after all that, nothing…same problem. Nothing at all has changed

Hell even in the requirements Dx12 has a nice green tick…

Well in that case i can only suggest to update either to the latest Windows-Insider Preview build, or reinstall Windows10 clean, or try a Windows 10 Reset with the option to keep data.

Just updated and same thing…I’m not reinstalling just for this, and I shouldnt even have to go through all this effort.

Just considering trying for a refund now…it took 2 bloody days to download this.

hi go do device manager and make sure that the card is not disabled,i know this sounds stupid but had same issue the other day on this game when i updated the gpu bios

I’d be very surprised if this PC ran Doom (2016) on Ultra on sheer will alone, but yeah it’s definitely on, thanks though, this just seems silly now.

Would it be worth just reinstalling the game?

I couldn’t get the game to start. Uninstalling and downloading it again worked for me. I know it’s a pain but it might work.

Thats what I’ll be doing tonight then…good ol Australian internet, so I might get to see if it works in two more days >.>

Still it’s been over 24 hours of contacting support here and via Forzas Microsoft support email, and still no reply.

Try not to “pause” the download, the most problems come from download-interruptions of any kind in the Windows-Store. Well hopefully the store is a bit more stable now but idk.

Ran the whole thing through, didn’t stop, stutter or pause…and still same problem, wasted 200GB

Microsoft support hasn’t replied either, it’s been two days. So I’m just going to get my money back, I tried staying loyal to it, but this is beyond the joke.

The only solution to fix this again is either update to windows-insider preview build, or reinstall windows10 clean to fix the corruption. it’s either that or get a refund for your game.

I just remember that the next w10 update comes in a few days, October 17th, 2017. Build 1709 Redstone 3.

Hmm…Ill try this Windows insider, do you use it? And will it wipe my data? Im just really opposed to starting all from scratch again…

It should not delete data, since it’s a upgrade. otherwise you would get a notification or question to install clean or “keep data”
I installed it on my laptop clean, the insider version… just to check it out. it upgraded from the normal version.

Yeah, been reading up, not confident enough to update insider to my main device, so perhaps I’ll wait for that other update on the 17th…and see where we go from there.

So an employee finally got back to me and asked me to give them a certain amount of info about the problem. Three days later I got a reply

“So when you click continue anyway what happens”

So I replied…what more can I say then it obviously doesnt start, and just close…it’s been 2 days since that point :confused:

Just got back to me

“Thanks. We will pass this along to be investigated.”

A WEEK FOR THAT ANSWER

Any actually gotten a solution that doesn’t involve reformatting my PC? I feel like I’m just getting swept under the rug.

Updated Drivers and game, still no fix, still same message.

Im asking for a refund now.
