CVT on Any car

For any car to have CVT that seems cool, it will give the car good acceleration, go up speed quickly
and no shifting, it’s just get up and go.
I think it will be good for drag racing and other stuff, if it doesn’t slip. What do yall think?

We have transmission swaps with 7, 8, 9 and 10 speeds and a 4 speed for Drift so I guess why not a CVT as well

I think It will be fun to have

Currently the only CVT cars we have are the Can Am and the Polaris Razors, so a CVT swap could be interesting

Arguably the Koeniggsegg Regera, but that seems to work differently ingame and I know that it is a bit different irl.

Would be cool to have CVT as an option for cars, but the transmission upgrades as a whole need changed imo, why cant we have custom gearing on 5 speeds? 3 speeds? 2? why is the 4 speed only availible on some cars? why is it even labelled as a drift transmission when it functionally is just a race transmission with 2 less gears? why is final drive tuned in the transmission and not the differential where the “final drive ratio” actually exists???

Subaru has a CVT option on many of it’s newer Impreza models. Your options would be as follows:
Tune options-
Differential gear ratio
RPM target (The transmission would keep the engine at this RPM until maximum ratio is reached by the range of possible ratios)

Parts upgrade options-
Clutch upgrade changed to stock vs lock up torque converter

Friction parts (cones and chain/belt upgrade) for less slippage when making sudden speed changes such as off throttle hard on throttle corners

That Subaru CVT seems fun even if it’s a CVT

Here’s the thing, a CVT would be beneficial but the fact is, nobody likes the transmission, its boring and unreliable, and for people who drive simulation, if they wanted to use it for performance they’d break down early on, CVTs are ultimately the worse option, i cant drive manual and i would still use one before i get a cvt

but this is a video game, and if youre going to bring in reliability I point to the 2JZs in game pushing near enough 2,000hp, or any car in the game for that matter doing more than a thousand other than maybe the race truck, and then being driven at the limit for days, lol

the reason normal people dont like it IRL is purely subjective, there are those that do like it, and there are those that would like them in a video game where you dont need to live with it all the time.

there are also other types of CVT, some more reliable and capable of power than others.
