TLDR; Draw/drive a path for Ai traffic to follow on custom maps.
After almost a full year and over 600hrs of creating No Hesi Maps I think it is about time we get some real moving traffic!
For those unaware of what I am talking about;
No Hesi Forza started with a few tracks; Cut Up Tunnels 5 (series), Corsa 2 & No Hesi Highway (mexico). Not long after I began creating my own, NOHESI Highway, Big Highway, New York, UK & Expressway (coming soon). These tracks have taken the game by storm, reaching 20k+ plays in a matter of a couple of months.
NOHESI New York Map Codes: NOHESI Big Highway Map codes:
V1 (Day) 319 778 561 V2.5 (Day) - 484 460 344
V1 (Eve) 110 151 399 V2.5 (Eve) - 211 013 974
V1 (Night) 739 803 838 V2.5 (Night) - 119 222 351
V1 (Night Rain 526 008 392 V2.5 (Night Rain) - 101 311 323
V1.5 (Night) 152 104 241
Although the No Hesi community on Forza has grown quickly, there is still the underlying issue that we have to âcut upâ with static traffic. Thus my suggestion of a tool to allow us to control the paths of moving AI traffic.
With this tool it would;
-
stop 30% of our prop limit being spent on static vehicles, allowing for more detailed and longer maps.
-
improve atmosphere and surroundings on maps that use to be empty streets
-
increase player base, bringing Assetto players onto Forza
-
make FH5 be the first standalone driving game that can facilitate No Hesi without the use of Mods or a whole PC set up.
I am no game dev, nor do I have an understanding on how this could be implemented, however as a creator I would like these features to be considered;
-
Drawing/driving a path for the traffic to follow (allow multiple for highways)
If this doesnt work, use the road markings on new highway props as guides. -
Control the speeds that AI travel along the paths
-
Traffic only spawns on parts of the map the drivers are using/driving towards.
-
Density control of traffic
-
Ai traffic despawning if crashed or stopped unexpectedly for too long (we donât want gridlock/standstill traffic on a game lol)
I have a more to add, but I donât wish to waste peoples time readingâŚ
Thank you for taking the time to reading and I hope this suggestion can be used in the future!
Please vote and share so we can improve FH5
Kind Regards,
