I consider myself a pretty good racer and an average tuner. I get the basics of how to tune a car and I can fix or at least to a degree, help (loose, tight, push, oversteer, under steer,). But what I’m having trouble with is height hand bump stiffness and rebound stiffness. I like to go over curbs (not cut corners) some of my favorite cars snap around or go on two wheels. I can cut a half to 3/4 of a second off my time. A little advice would be appreciated
hey i normally set dampers above 10 on rebound and between 2 and 3 on bump it works well for me rides curbs well like that hope this helps
^^^ Like he said. Lower the bump dampers so the springs absorb the shock from curb. You can keep rebound a bit tighter to keep the car stiffer.
Lower the ARB’s as well… The bump setting and the ARB’s really affect that issue. Never noticed the Rebound having much effect, but suppose it could.
I’ll try that tonight thanks for the pointer. I always thought u should keep the difference between your rebound and stiffness around 70percent. But I’ll definitely try it’s the one thing I’ve struggled with the most
