Following the June 15th update Forza started crashing during races. After trying all the normal things, power cycling, clearing the cache etc…and various support tickets, we were advised the game save was most likely corrupt and were told to delete from everywhere, losing everything. Following this, the game is a new install and it only got as far as the Autumn race before crashing. Since then, there have been various updates from Forza and now the game will not get past the screen where it explains what the controls are, before freezing and turning off the xbox. Forza support were saying contact Xbox support, which I have done and the last ticket response was power cycle the xbox, which is where I was 9 weeks ago, when I could last play the game!!!
Is anybody else having this issue and have they managed to find a fix?
I have tried:
Clearing the Cache
uninstall and reinstall (lots count on how many times this has been done)
Delete games save from everywhere
checked date and timezone
checked sound input
brought up the xbox menu screen while loading
tried a different user account
tried loading the game offline
Soft Factory Reset
changed mac address
Raised a ticket(s) with Forza support
Contacted xbox support

Hi, I’ve recently got a problem with forza horizon 4. I’ve moved into new aparatment and I had to get a broadband, then some problems started to appear. First I had my account crashed for it did not want to play the game. Nothing worked to save it, so I lost it a bit of a shame coz I’ve played that a little. I created a new account but I cannot join forza session.
I’ve tried looking for that in the net but unfortunately nothing works. I also updated windows for there was one pending, and I realized that win took my net as public network so I changed it to private, hoping it would change something.
I reinstalled forza as well as xbox app. Additionally I reseted both several times too. I also changed in my microsoft profile the country settings for I moved abroad, but still the game crashes.
What is extremely odd, is the fact that Forza crashes my internet connection. When forza is running I basically do not have internet connection, but when I close it, the net starts to work as should. (It’s 100mb fibre so there is no way that connecting to forza servers would overload it’s capability)
It’s pretty annoying, for then because of that I also have problems with auctions.
Game Crashes when start online/kernelbase.dll error
Hi, i have this problem when I try to run FH4 on my pc since last month, I have formated my pc 5 times, tried to run with a clean instalation, with last working driver(adrenalin 20.7) with new drivers, with debloat, without debloat, with all visual basics installed, with overclock, on cpu stock, with all variables and, the game crashes on menu, if I use my save, or in the first race with McLaren Senna, in 1 minute, the windows log show me the KernelBase is the cause of the crash, but, I find a man with the same problem as me, and him said to try to run the game offline, and the game runs perfectly, with my save or with a new save, the game runs ONLY offline, if I turn on my internet, the game crashes, this is so sad!
So, I’m having an issue (have already contacted support, but still no answer) with FH4 (on PC) that’s really frustrating. The game works 1000% fine while the Ethernet cable is unplugged, and not when it’s in.
So far I’ve tried literally ALL of the “My Game is Not Lauching or Crashing…” suggestions, as well as some other suggestions that I saw online. It’s not a hardware issue (if it was the game wouldn’t run while the cable is unplugged, and the issue only happens with this specific Title) neither with XBOX Live connectivity, because it has always been fully functional and connected (otherwise other games wouldn’t work…)
What I found funny was the fact that I can start the game with the Internet cable plugged-in so it actually loads and acknowledges all my DLC’s (from the Ultimate Edition), then from there 2 things can happen:
1 - If I unplug the cable, the game will run smoothly and without any issues at all until I desire to quit it. BUT if I plug the Internet cable back in, while playing, after about 2-3 minutes (everytime) the game just freezes and quits to desktop.
2 - If I just keep the cable plugged-in the whole time, the game opens up, loads, and after I leave my house (sometimes even on the Autoshow / Garage menu) it just freezes and closes to desktop as well.
To summarize, it’s not a hardware problem, it’s not an issue with Xbox live or anything like that (at least, not that I’m aware of…). It only happens when I plug the cable (I’ve already uninstalled/re-installed any drivers related to Internet Adapters and ALL components and drivers/softwares ARE Up-to-Date). Exactly 2-3 minutes after being in-game with the cable on, it just dies. If I don’t leave the Main Menu while connected to the Internet the game will NOT freeze/close/crash… It’s literally after entering/leaving the house onward…
If anyone has a clue on what it might be, I’ll be more than happy to know!
I am having the exact same issue and support it’s not helping and only telling to me to contact the Xbox support which i did and after trying their suggestions told me to contact Forza support again.

I am playing Forza Horizon on windows 10. I am stuck on the menu. When I press start, Xbox will sync data from the cloud. It goes to 100% but the game still says load failed. The screenshots provided show the screen output of the error. Are there any solutions to fix this error?
I have a problem with Forza Horizon 4. My game is crashing randomly. It shows black screen and the game crashes. After long reading and trying to fix the problem i found that when you turn off explorer.exe the game runs as long as I want without crashing. But there comes the other problem. I can’t use Xbox Game Bar or even to put the game to background. My computer has the requirements even for maximum settings. Before that computer I had another one and it was happening with it too. I tried even with updating and restoring Windows. I wrote to the support they told me to send them event log. Then i sent them this log and they replied to me to ask Windows ot XBox support. If you can help me I will be very thankful.
I have a similar problem but my case it’s not randomly, it always crashes after like 2 minutes in game, tried closing the explorer.exe but it still crashes, the only way the game actually works it’s if i start the game without a internet connection. Support told me same the same thing they sent you and no help.
Hi I used to play fh4 for hours whenever i could on my previous pc recently i built a new pc and already talked to the microsoft report and they said i should come onto here in hopes a developer sees this to help me out. after resetting the pc and downloaded fh4 i tried launching it and it gave me this code: error-code-0x803F8001. Anyone else have any other suggestions? microsoft seems stumped on what else to do even downloaded the latest windows update too and tried going through command prompt, resetting from in settings and uninstalling and reinstalling the game
After starting the game in free ride mode, after a minute the game freezes for a few seconds and crashes to the desktop without error. In the windows 10 log it shows this:

I install the game on the windows store I launch it when it is necessary to lead it to crash and the benchmark it works very well it is strange the error code on the event manager: 0xc0000005 it is strange I test all really all I listen to you for solutions knowing that I test on windows 20h2 it does not work and I put the 1909 still not working.
Have a strange little problem here now. Tuned up my Hoonigan Bronco yesterday and ended up prefering a S1 839 stage 1 turbo setup. Looked up a great paintjob and took it for a ride.
Had a friend over today and he like the hotted up Bronco a lot, so I gave him the sharecodes but even if he can see the tune/design he is unable to add them to his car.
