Crash - Eagle rock Speedway on PC when running latest AMD Drivers and video set to ultra - 1629927

I can’t do the world tour mode because the game keeps crashing when the track loads in. Even if I choose Eagle rock Speedway in FreePlay, The game crashes and says that’s the system has had a driver timeout. Anyone else having this problem?

Sounds like AMD…

Anyway if u know what u do u can try to change “TdrDelay” in registry. It’s the timeout detection & recovery, sometimes way too aggressive.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

switch to decimal, value is in seconds should be 2 by default. If it doesnt exist create 32bit DWORD value.

Set it higher like 8 or 10. Needs reboot after change

Crashes here for me too, in fact eaglerock crashes if I take it in freeplay.

Thanks Pinkie I appreciate it. I will try it.

Same Problem here. No matter what car I use it crashes right after the first cinematic. I don’t have the Problem on other tracks. It doesn’t matter if i skip the cinematic or not. I am using AMD rx 7900 xtx with the latest driver 23.9.3, I tried setting the TdrDelay. It doesn’t help.

AMD started own stuff months ago to fix tdr so no idea if they override something

I created a support ticket. I will let you know when they reply.

yeah me too, in FM7 we have the problem crashes with the Watkin Glens, looks like: oh $h! here we go again!

I have tha same problem using a RX 7900 XTX too.

Having the same issue with a 7900XT. I have submitted a bug ticket. Tried a few things to resolve but no luck.

Also running a 7900 XTX.

I undervolted the GPU, turned the settings down to medium (inexcusable to have to do this on a flagship card just to play a game), and hit “A” as soon as I could to skip the cut scene (not sure if that part made a difference, but the crash always happened during the cut scene. Still had one crash during the race but made it through the next time.

One solution I found on a Steam forum was to turn off Ray Tracing and it worked for me

Ran into the same constant crashing problem at Silverstone and undervolting wasn’t enough. Turned on Radeon chill and limited frame rate to 70. No more crashes. Will probably slowly start working that number up until I run back into problems and then drop it back to the highest point where it was stable.

The update still hadn’t fixed it yet. The only way to stop it from crashing it to turn off ray tracing

Correction. I had to download AMD driver 23 .10.1 And that fix my issue

But now I’m seeing shaders is being compiled on every start up. Wow! This game is becoming a headache.

Yeah, you are right. 23.10.2 compiles faster for me but still the same issue. I will wait for a competent driver. Has anyone had any experience with the preview drivers?

This is a absolute sheit show. Does this only affect 7900xtx gpus? I cant play this game as it crashes randomly due to the driver time out.
