Couple of bugs, and things that bug me

First off…I really overall, so far, love the game. It’s a little confusing for me at times with certain things, like menu, or how to get the 3rd MOD perk to work, just little stuff but I am sure it will be very fluid for me over time. I just have a couple of issues that, I am sure it will be taken as harsh or that I am P-O’d(which I am but only slightly)but I am not that mad…just a little miffed. That said:

Issue 1: So I decided to PAINT my Bugatti Veyron. I went to my recently used colors… for example, a gloss orange(which I do think I have actually painted a vehicle that color yet though so, that was odd in itself) but the reason why I stopped on the orange color was because it also, painted my wheels ORANGE to match the body color(by itself). I thought that was awesome. So I continued down the paint list still…and actually a couple of colors would allow me to do this…paint match the body and the wheels together(again, on it’s own as I was selecting a body color). SO, I decided on the orange color. Cool, orange everywhere(note-still an OEM original vehicle, no mods, no aftermarket wheels)… So then I go to buy new wheels… awesome…the 3 piece wheels would give me a polished LIP…but the center would STAY orange. Looked pretty stellar.

I saved it…then when I went to my garage…it was an OEM color again, and grey wheels. Nothing I could do…to get it to go back to THAT color combo, and stay(painted wheels and matched color car by ONLY PAINTING the CAR-the wheels would change the color of the car) that color.

So my complaint is…1)Don’t tease me like this…I was completely stoked to know I could do this, then equally let down. 2) Why is this NOT an option anyways? After 10 years, we still can’t paint wheels differently(without painting the WHOLE WHEEL the same color) and also…since it’s in the same realm and EQUALLY important… 3) Why can we not paint brake calipers still? If I change the brakes on the HSV…which comes with OEM Yellow calipers…I go to do a brake upgrade, and they automatically change to RED. Red is played out and old…I wanna paint match my calipers…

Issue 2: On Hockenheim … . at night, and I forget which corner I exited but, the dark sky would glitch to a darker shade a few times, then be normal again. It isn’t a big deal to me but, just worth mentioning in case anyone else has gone through this.

Issue 3: Why no turbocharging option for the CTS-V and C7 Z06? Also, Why is it that if I put two turbos on a V8 corvette(I forget which-but I will double check when out of work later), I only pick up 40 plus horsepower? TWIN TURBO V8 …and it only makes 40 hp more? Really? Other cars it adds a hundred plus. I dunno who, or how you guys come up with these very ODD power numbers. Seriously…it’s a little insulting, being that I have worked in the performance market now for 15 years, and I go buy one of my favorite cars…and I can’t do what I want to it…like how we could in FM4, FM5, Horizon2… just don’t get it.

I had a couple more things but, I need to get back to work.

I tried the paint thing then with a Bugatti and I was able to save the color on the car but when I went to go look at it ,the wheels were orange only and the body was carbon fiber instead of being orange body, and orange wheels like I saved it.

Also, when I go to previous colors,…now I have two, instead of maybe 40. Maybe it resets when you turn off console.

Nobody else experiencing anything like this?

Ps…the more I play (lvl 25)…the more I love the game. I’m also learning that LOTS of cars only add like 45hp by adding twin turbos but the same car will gain 75hp on a cam swap. A turbo setup should bolt on anywhere from 120hp to 300,400,500, 1000hp…etc etc. Why the low numbers? How does t10 come up with the horsepower values? Are these guesses or do you have data to back up? 40hp is a bolt on long tube header mod…not turbos. A real car I built, we bolted on a turbo setup and the car picked up 338rwhp on only 11psi…over the vehicles 450rwhp…so it made 788rwhp total. Vipers, pick up a TON of power with headers…the pick up a Bunch also when you add forced induction in the real world.

Just would like to know how T10 comes up with the power abilities.

Ps…go ahead and take back the AWD option for a C7Z06…and I’ll take a twin turbo option to replace that pipe dream.

Aren’t there enough threads on this topic already? Couldn’t you have simply posted in one of those?

But yes, the recently colors reset when you power off the console. They only persist while the game is active.

Also total in love with FM6  Absolutly surprise for me the sand on Laguna Seca and fogy places on other track. Driving on wet against other games is in hole new dimension.

I dont know if it should be a feature or a bug, but the missing displacement of engines is so gigantic faux-pas

Also I miss the gravel section on Road America with that ditch before the right band. Do you somebody from that region know if there is now tarmac in rl?

I made a post tailored to myself and the issues that I am finding. If you don’t like it, simply stick to those posts you speak of. I asked some simple questions, brought up some good, valid points. This is again, what I’ve found. The questions I ask regarding how they (t10) come up with horsepower numbers, is also a good question. I work in the performance industry, I’d like them to be informed a little better on what power adders do. The game prides itself on realism. …so this is me being real.

Don’t like? Move along. Thanks for the reply about the paint, I appreciate it.

Driving in the wet is pretty awesome. We have an actual shop viper that we track. Nothing special but it goes 2:14 at Sebring. …we built our car in the game to the best of our ability. …guess what our laptime was?..2:14 and change. Definitely a cool game.,just wouldn’t mind if it had a few more bells and whistles. …like more horsepower available in all the cars. If the car is just to hard to control …thats where tuning the chassis would come into play. I’m sure a quick search will tell us what type of surface any track is.
