I think it would be a cool idea to be able to go in a private (or public) lobby and be able to give out penalties and warnings. I think that would be an interesting feature and will probably be a lot of fun with friends. What do you guys think?
You bring up a good point with the public lobbies. Now that I think about it, there would definitely be some biases. If there is like competitive lobbies then it might be beneficial there. Especially with forcing people of track, collisions and unsafe pit exits.
While you’re racing, we want to make sure our players are having a fun and fair experience, so we’ve massively overhauled Forza Race Regulations. FRR has evolved immensely since Forza Motorsport 7 thanks to machine learning. It now identifies track cutting, purposeful collisions and all-around dirty driving, going from being able to identify hundreds of potential infractions in Forza Motorport 7 to thousands in the new Forza Motorsport. Players will receive penalties and race disqualifications based on the severity of incidents.
Forza has updated their Forza Race Regulations to be better at this, so the game will give out penalties on it’s own. But I do agree that having a friend be the race director in a private lobby could be a very fun variation on this.
So how do I bribe my friends when this becomes available? (I would never do this, I want clean racing)
Yeah, private lobbies would sound the most realistic if added to the game. Should be an option you can turn on and lobby leader can assign the race director.
The new race AI may be revamped. But ai still can’t think like a human. So there may be some unjustified penalties. Maybe some too harsh or too soft. So having a race director would help make the race feel more immersive. Thanks for your input!
