Can we stop with this stupid 2 cars a month system? Horizon, although I find that equally as annoying, has such a better monthly new car system and are always recieving cars that make no sense as to why they’re on the game.
• Elantra Touring Car
• Racing Trucks
• Mitsubishi Lancer Time Attack
• Drift Cars (they make sense but why don’t we have them too)
• The literal drag cars (again somewhat make sense but make more sense on Motorsport)
Not to mention all the road cars that Horizon are recieving that we just aren’t.
There’s so many cars that can be ported over from Horizon, and cars we’ve still yet to see return from previous games and new cars we’ve yet to see (The Nissan and Toyota Supra race cars from the multiplayer screen that I’m pretty sure has been removed entirely now)
I know it’s probably hectic to roll out the stuff each month, but can we get more content rich updates each month?
• More career races to get more cars.
• New cars from Horizon we’re yet to see.
• Old race cars from previous games, the Z4, the Cayman GT4, the Jaguar GT3(?), the Maserati GT car.
2 potentially new cars and occasionally a track from a previous game each month when comparing it to the amount Horizon receive each month isn’t a good look, especially when Motorsport was the beginning of Forza.

I wouldn’t mind to buy a dlc of 5 or 6 cars for 5€. Like touring or hypercars LMP1 etc

This game isn’t in a state where anyone should be paying for more content

@stuf4rt has a point, but honestly, same. If they brought out like a DLC pack for Hypercar (Proto-H) class, GT3’s, GT4, GTE, GT2, Touring cars and added tracks that correlate with them, Imola, Donington, Snetterton etc and they were £5-10 each I’d buy it at this point. As long as they were stacked with cars and tracks, or the tracks were just free, I’d be happy.

Hi. Actually, in the 2022 trailer, formula drift cars & drift battles were available & we already have performance parts related to drift & drag too. I’m sure they’ll come.

So u r saying that elantra tcr n lancer time attack do not make sense in horizon?
I see it as, obviously cars are ported between games, look at the GT3 FH5 pack, I don’t care what’s in horizon, it’s cool there’s such variety, but why does it seem like it’s a one way stream of adding cars to FH5, but FM23 barely gets any of those new cars, it does seem silly to have track only cars in the open world game and not in the motorsport car list.

I’m with you on this.
I know that Turn 10 has the license for all the cars from FH5. I just don’t know why they’re not adding them into Forza Motorsport?

Licenses are game specific. Having a car in one game doesn’t grant a free right to use it in another game.

So, you’re saying it would cost money to add a car into the game?
Yes. Racing cars, solely for race tracks on a street racing game baffles me immensely. The drift cars I can understand, the community love drifting, and I can somewhat understand the drag cars but at the same time they don’t belong on a game where you predominantly race on the road.
Right? Especially considering without FM the chances of Horizon ever existing in the first place would be slim, it started with Motorsport but because Horizon is now the bigger Forza name it just seems like their half arsing it and couldn’t care less anymore
Not sure, I would think it would be company specific. Surely once it’s bought by the developers, Turn 10, surely it would be free reign. I get that they can expire between games and it would need to be repurchased but if they already have it, licence and assets available, surely it’s transferable.
It could depend on the publisher but normally licenses are game specific due to how royalties are handled.
There’s also the simple fact that it takes devs time to implement everything. The conversion from Horizon to Motorsport is more than just the car model, it’s the physics, AI, upgrades etc.

Yeah I suppose, if it is game based at least then I can fully understand that, same with porting stuff over. I get its probably hard to do but it just feels like they don’t care about Motorsport anymore because horizon is the bigger of the two now
We are not even one year into this “live service game”, no one should even think about paying a dime for content right now. They really cant afford to get greedy now, or they will loose the few people still remaining playing this game. I hope for a huge dump of tracks and cars for the 1 year anniversary, something like 3 recycled tracks and 20 recycled cars. After that they could offer something like a quarterly car pass for 10 bucks, releasing a “new” car every week for 12 weeks, alongside some free content.

Yeah I understand that but if it’s the issue of licensing costs, I’d willingly buy DLC’s for certain major divisions if it meant they could pay it off, so long as they’re a fair price. At the end of the day, the game was “free”, the only thing I bought was the upgrade so I could get the DLC cars and car pass cars
I get where you are coming from, but i still think it sets a bad precedent. If we start this, the next game will come out with 3 car divisions, and the rest you have to buy as DLC. Also, i dont know how many game pass games you are playing, but for most people the game pass is probably not (much) cheaper than buying the games they are actually interested in. You can buy 3 full games for the price of a one year subscription, i would not consider that free.
