Myself and my team were pretty big into drag racing back in forza 4. We took and held the top of the board for quite a while with a handful of others until the rapid fire clutch glitch took it all over. We also really enjoyed tuning/driving competitions against other teams. The 2 teams would pick 1 car, and have 1 week to tune and practice with that car, at the end of the week we would get together and see who was fastest in a kind of drag tournament. it was awesome, and some of the most fun i’ve ever had.
What I’m looking for is something along those lines again, while having lost touch with all those old buddies. We were serious about our tuning and driving, while having fun. it was all great clean racing, and great people.
now onto my complaints, has forza tuning really fallen into “turn your camber all the way up, your front springs all the way down, your rear springs all the way up etc…”? or are these just the posers that i’ve seen videos of that don’t have the patience to actually tune? back when i was drag tuning in forza 4 the difference of .5 psi could literally put you into a different bracket (i say bracket because of how the clocking worked then .17 seconds per tick basically) tuning was absolutely a science, and without serious time and testing spent on the car you weren’t about to get near the leaders.
from looking at how the actual drag racing (still) is, with no time to get staged, or have a consistent stage/launch, I’d guess I’m looking for a group of guys that race on the actual tracks and pick a good straightaway to have fun on. I haven’t even bought the game yet, with the way they treated drag racing in 5 and 6 I swore I wouldn’t be back until it was fixed. it’s not fixed obviously but if I can find a good group to race with i’ll gladly purchase the game and see you guys there!
