I’ve noticed this one bug since Forza 6. Sometimes when I race online, I get wrecked by a car that is solid and they drive through me like I am not even there. I assume this is a connection issue but I am not sure. It has been happening more and more since the last update, it seems like every lobby I enter I have this issue now.
Yeah that’s an odd connection glitch where you don’t show up at all for that player, so he does not know he is hitting you. Hence why your car did not affect his at all, because you’re not actually there on his screen.
Although I think this only happens when the other player has a dodgy internet connection. But it never hurts to run a ‘detailed network statistics’ test on your Xbox One (under network settings) to ensure your latency and packet loss are up to snuff. You can also view your NAT settings here (open is good).
I get this problem as well. Happened just last night actually in the Touring Car lobby with sim damage on. My car ended up 100% damaged but the other guy clearly didn’t see me at all on his screen.
This bug needs to be fixed, as in some situations it could mislead someone in to thinking they have been rammed intentionally.
Before I knew this was a bug I always assumed that the person who hit me like this rammed me intentionally, once I knew this was a bug I would just leave the lobby, its just infuriating that a bug like this exists.
I too have had this happen. Its like they hit you and their car doesnt react to the wreck. That made me think they dont see me at all. Cant remember if its been happening before or after the most recent update
