I feel quit young now at 42, I am completely new to Forza and only started playing by accident on my sons console. Forza came with the console at Christmas and he is only interested in Minecraft so I thought I’d give it a go one rainy afternoon and wow I was hooked. My wife thinks I am having a mid life crisis and trying to reclaim my youth as over the last 6 months I have also taking up boxing 3 times a week, and playing the drums (another xmas present for my son). I think she may be right.
Lol, this sounds like me. My son got the Xbox One for Christmas and I had no interest. Until I saw the Forza 6 video and downloaded the demo. That was it for me - hooked. There’s also a drum kit in my basement, but it was a xmas present for me from last year. Call it a mid-life crisis if you will, but I’m having fun!
Never too early to start playing drums… I started playing drums about the time I started gaming, which was all the way back in 1990. I’m 33, and have been gaming for the better part of 26 years, and drumming for just as long.
50, been playing for a bit less than a year, and pretty much addicted by now ! I work in the emergency services and drive with lights and sirens on a daily basis but what this game is allowing me to do is to push it further and have a sense of what it could be like. It is just a game … but it’s serious business when i race
Just turned 60 in March…have enjoyed Forza since 4…
Started club in 2011 that is still alive and well! Never was a gamer before then lol!
We have several older drivers who are really good on track…
Also wife, Rosieracer races and we have 2 of everything! Not cheap mind you, but we meet every Saturday night for club meets, laughs and great times…
We have web site and youtube going…so I would say we have been bitten by the Forza bug! Lol…
Great thread. Good to see other mature drivers around here!
I think we are a different breed. Recently I’ve been watching the Leaderboard and running Rivals a lot on tracks I like and I see that there are specific cars and tunes that place way up there yet I keep hammering away with cars that I like and want to drive. I doubt I will ever be on top with that and my assists but I am posting what I think are respectable times and more importantly improving on those times tinkering with the tunes squeezing a bit more out.
I do like downloading a tune and seeing what its like but not being able to see its “guts” is frustrating. Kind of like being an “arrive and drive” racer with no control over different aspects of the car.
50 here. I have been playing forza since the first one. Back in the day there was a group called Grown up Gamers. We would run against each other’s times and had a helluva good time playing cat and mouse with project Gotham racing.
I love the racing games but wil give pretty much anything a try.
See you guys on the track.
That would put me in the Top 5. I turn 64 in 1 week. Been playing Forza since 2. Not as hooked as I once was but I chalk that up to this place not being the Community it once was. I miss those days.
