completely unfinished game

day one the game come out, 60$ car dlc

to make you able to then purchase the car in-game for either a lots of game cash or ‘‘BUY CREDIT WITH REALY MONEY TO BUY THE CAR YOU JUST PAID FOR AS DLC’’

excuse me but…i find this totally unacceptable…

there isn’t really a lots of track and there is very little car…
actually there is pretty much 2-3 time more car as paid dlc than their is in the game…

why in the world? i mean if i want the new lambo its 2,99$Can to unlock it then 5$ for credits to own it?

that is the worst thing a game developer could do and next-gen is already heading the wrong way if its going to be always like that if your gona do that then we should be able to buy your game for 5$ on disc

Your posting is very confusing; but, I am assuming English is not your first language. So, allow me to try and explain what it is you are complaining about:

Every DLC released for a Forza title has required you to purchase DLC vehicles with in-game currency. This no different from having purchased the game and then having to race for credits to purchase the cars. So, complaint number one is void.

In regards to tracks - there are 14. It isn’t as many as past Forza titles; but, it is still on par with most of today’s console racing games. As for vehicles - there are over 200 that are available from the base game. Sure, this is fewer than previous Forza titles; but, with an upgrade to vehicle quality bound to happen at some point, this should have been expected by most. Either way, it is still more than any other non-Forza racing title on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.

So … a little math tells us that with 30 DLC vehicles released (to date), that doesn’t equate to 2-3 times more vehicles than there are in the game. Complaint number two - invalid.

Lastly, your complaint about DLC in general is invalid. Why? Because the downloadable content is completely optional and is in no way required to play the game as is. If you don’t want to purchase DLC … don’t and those vehicles will likely arrive as part of the base collection when the next Forza title is released.

I hope this helps.

I agree that this game seems like just half a game. I have no issue with the dlc but I really feel like the limited number of tracks ( I mean how do you not include the ring?!?!) and cars leaves me a little disappointed. I acknowledge that this is by far the best racing game out, on either console, but I can’t help comparing it to forza 3 and 4.

One more issue I have, which is undoubtedly related to the number of cars and tracks, is the incredibly low number of events to enter.

I know that Turn 10 must have all the data they need to recreate more tracks and cars for forza 5 I just hope they get around to it and release as either really low priced DLC or even FREE!!

Not even close dude. Forza 4 is better than this game in every way possible, so is Gran Turismo 6. Why? Because those games aren’t built like a free to play game (Which we pay $60 for) fueled by microtransactions. It is so blatant in this game I can’t believe it. And the cherry on top is the track count. Not having enough tracks to not require repeating in a singleplayer series is just pathetic and gets tired so fast. This is a really cool game demo but I would give it a C- for a “full game.”

Edit: I also had more fun playing Need for Speed: Rivals than I have had playing this game so far…which really depresses me.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Microtransactions are a non-issue, and GT6 had just as many complaints about microtransactions, which you would know if you weren’t completely ignorant.

Anybody know if health insurance pays for treatment for those unlucky people that seem to be unable to resist entirely optional micro-transactions, especially when they’re not required in any way to play the game?

Judging from the number of posts in recent months, it would seem to be quite a problem for some people. It’s possible the issue could even be on par with people who can’t control the urge to buy products that they know nothing about before hand, and people that suffer from delusional disorders involving the belief that every game should be custom tailored specifically to them alone.

A very disturbing trend indeed. Needs it’s own Non-for-profit organization…

I agree it compleatly rediculous it’s all about money theyre money hungry it’s those other games like rivals racing that started that the sad thing is is people will pay for it well dumb people they won’t get me or my friends none of us will pay that much they’ve ruined this game in so many ways it’s because the people who design this game no nothing at all about real cars or racing that’s why they have people like perrelly help it’s so sad

How dare a company sell a product with the goal of making a profit. I mean come on offering us extra content even offering us a deal if we buy in bulk and get the pass, what are they thinking. what sort of company survives by suppling something people want for a profit I hope this doesnt catch on.

It comes as no surprise to me that Forza 5 seems a little unfinished seeing as it is one of the first racing games on a new console. I’m sure that racing games can only get better on Xbox One and hopefully the next Forza pushes the boat out a wee bit.

There is a difference between an unfinished game and one that is finding a new identity on a fresh console. I see Forza 5 as the latter - especially since we have no proof that it is “unfinished”, opinions aside.

Well said.

I subscribe to this logic 100%. Almost to the point where I wish they called it something else and let Forza die with the 360. People need to understand that this is a new beginning and not a sad ending.

Free = Substandard (always has, always will.)

Turn 10 is in the entertainment business and they do it well but, they’re in business to make money; that’s what businesses do. If you don’t feel that you are getting value for your money you are free not to purchase but, to keep arguing for free content is bad policy (read opening statement.)

Micro transactions is the way things have been headed for several years now. This is just the way things are going to be. Forza isn’t the only one doing this. This is going to be every game from this point on.
There is no doubt that games are being released with less content only to be sold to the gamers later on as an add-on.
As a gamer and consumer, this can become quite the investment.
As a developer, this is great. Its all about profit. This is nothing new either.

I feel the same as many people here that this game was released with a few holes in it. There is some functionality from previous Forzas that didn’t make it into this one. ( PUBLIC user created lobbies, Overall Leaderboards, REPLAYS!!! )
However, I find myself having lots of fun still, the physics took some getting used to but are by far the best to date.
Graphics are great.
Physics are great.
Sound is Great.
Smoke has got better.

At the end of the day. This is a good game. This is a game that will have 1000+ hours put into it by myself. ( FM4 I had almost 1500 hours easy )
Its understandable that people are upset over the direction things are headed, but my hope is that T10 and other companies who are seeing record breaking profits are going to take the money and put it right back into future titles and come back with something special.

i think the op is trying to say there are less tracks less cars and a lot less tracks than the other games and we have payed (in my case) £20 more (and this wasnt even vip version) on a console which is supposed to knock the socks off its predecessor. I really like this game, its giving me everything i want at the moment but come on, its the xbox one version! Its supposed to blow everything out of the water, do you agree that it is doing that. the other thing he is going on about is of course the paid content. I cant access some of the rival stuff unless i pay a minimum of £7. with this said, im paying for 1 car to access features already in the game bumping my overall spend on forza 5 near £70.

I know this sounds like a complaint, its not really, im just saying like the op, we are paying loads of money for (now come on, this is fact ?), 1/2 the content as the other 4 . .serious i think fm1 had more stuff in it than this at launch . . not sure but by the end of the 3rd monthy thee were tracks cars and everything . . .did i mention tracks?

There have always been changes from one iteration of Forza to the next, this is nothing new. I was also disappointed by the scarcity of tracks and cars, but at the same time I was also blown away by the quality of the game and the fact that the tracks and cars that we do have in Forza 5 are so good. It’s the other stuff we lost that bothers me: storefronts, auction house, and car clubs. It feels like Forza is not quite the social experience that it used to be and I’m getting tired of racing by myself.

  1. the car pass was $50, not 60. and the reason for it was: the cars aren’t finished yet. what would you suggest? delay the game eternally until they have every single car ever made? that would first of all take forever, but more importantly, it would rob the Xbox One of it’s main launch title.

  2. earning money is insanely easy in this game, and cars are cheaper than they have ever been. (in FM4, the Ferrari 250 GT was 10 mil if memory serves) nobody is forcing you to buy cars with tokens. that’s just an option for the insanely lazy people. you can still grind a few hours to build up the money just like every other forza, and now money comes faster and cars are cheaper. the other day i started hot lapping around Spa in my viper in rivals mode. not really being competitive, just having a lonely track day, really. i drove and drove for a good half hour, just messing around and having fun. i ended the race when i felt like it and was something-like $200k richer. that means to buy even the most expensive car in the game ($2 mil) would take something like 5 hours of driving. compare that to, for example, Birds of Steel, where i spent MONTHS of grinding the same mission to earn enough XP to unlock the stupid experimental russian jet fighters that i was bored with in 20 minutes. and there wasn’t even the option of micro transactions. so, no. Forza isn’t bad at all. anything can be earned in a few hours, without micro transactions.

If you ask me, the problem is not with forza but with the xbox itself. Not being able to join any of your friends’ games without being in a party is completely stupid IMO. It wouldn’t be so bad if the parties actually worked. It is rare to try to get 5 guys in a private lobby without have 1 or more have issues joining. That is the serious problem for me.

No, no, and uh…no.

The complaints are valid; the game feels incomplete, like something is missing. Forza 5 is devoid of cars, tracks, & modes…period. To state “well, if you don’t like it you shouldn’t have bought it” is absurd. Most buyers purchased F5 based on past experiences, and it seems that Turn 10 is preparing to “cash in” on the equity that they generated due to the fantastic previous titles that they developed.

Next gen implies better, not less, yet most of us (at least the players on my friends list) feel that the title is lacking - cars, tracks, & modes.

This is short money, meaning that Turn 10 has taken advantage of the X1 launch (few titles, high expectations based on past success).

Turn 10 could pay a penalty with F6 and an even greater penalty if MS creates another system; T10 will not receive the benefit of the doubt as they did with F5. Personally, I (and many others like me) will wait to hear about the number of cars, tracks, & modes before a purchase is made. F5 is the reason I purchased an X1 instead of a PS4; my love for Forza pushed me toward Microsoft, but now T10 has compelled some of its loyalists to do something that many hadn’t done before, to “consider other options.”

I just would like to see player-created lobbies brought back for starters. Not really feeling the current iteneration{sp?} right now concerning the lobbies.
