…as FH4 won Best “Racing” Game of the Year.
So what is the point of nitpicking on things u (the player) don’t approve of, when u don’t have the slightest pedigree of producing an Award Winning Title.
Here’s a Tip: Maybe the Features/Suggestions Wishlist Sticky Thread is the only one that really needs to be used in the Forum…
Maybe there should be a Sticky Thread where u can address u’r “genuine” problems as well, instead of flooding the Forum with unnecessary Topics (like this one to many i suppose)
Congratulations on making a Beautiful looking Game! Who could ever resist Beauty, even if below the Exquisite Exterior there’s a number of Flaws that (the players think) need to be addressed.
No way, huh? There’s a combined total of over 100k ratings ostensibly submitted by players on the MS store, the overwhelming majority of which are 4-5 stars with far more 5s than 4s. Now refer to my previous post about thinking you necessarily speak for the majority.
Yes but a majority of them 4-5 stars were given by Forza fans being overhyped for the game ( I was one of them) listening to the hype before the game was even released. I think they should have this banned. I don’t think you should be able to pre rate a game until it’s been played. Hell I could vote before the demo so I bet a lot of those 4-5’a wouldn’t exist if we tried before voting.
I am in no way slating this game as I think it’s great (almost perfect if had more visual upgrades eg exhaust tips “eck hem” hint hint nudge nudge ) I do believe this is probably the greatest racing game there is but 5 stars with the amount of faults is unrealistic. I do however believe PGG’s deserve 5 stars as there’s no other game that I know of that listen to there players as much or give them a portion of what they ask for, so call me a kiss ass if you want but credit where it’s due.
Lol, i saw those numbers as well. Kinda weird that almost every game on the marketplace usually only gets a couple of hundred reviews, a thousand if their lucky, yet forza 7 as well as horizon 4 both have well over 50k reviews for each edition of the game. Strange…
I can’t find current sales figures, but it’s well over 2 million. 100k reviews out of over 2 million players is not a majority no matter which way you fudge the numbers.
But of course reviews can be bought too, just look at the disgrace that is the “video game media”.
I didn’t say it was a majority. I did offer it as an indication - being a far more substantial sample size than the forum offers - that the negative opinions are potentially - potentially, mind - in the minority.
But you are still attempting to imply that people’s criticism of the game is invalid, because for whatever reason you think there aren’t enough people complaining.
Not to mention you’re in every single complaint thread, trolling people. You think that helps? It’s no wonder people here are so bitter.
I sincerely doubt that I’m in every single complaint thread, although given the merging madness of mods it’s possible that many threads I haven’t been in got mixed in with those I have. And much of the time in such threads I’m responding to disparaging remarks towards players who might happen to like the game, which if anything makes me the trolled.
And the only implication is that the critics might be in the minority. Which was made in response to someone implying that accolades the game received couldn’t have merit. So I suppose I might have been invalidating an invalidation.
My experience of working in software development is that you cannot make everyone happy. I worked on a product that had thousands of customer requests logged in a database. These were prioritised based on a range of criteria, such as the revenue brought in by those customers, how significant their impact was on affected users, and the cost of the work needed to fix the issue. Every time a new version of the product was released, the people whose issues weren’t addressed would be infuriated. “WHY ARE YOU FIXING THESE IRRELEVANT ISSUES WHEN WE HAVE THESE ISSUES YOU HAVEN’T FIXED!!!”. The reason was that overall, we had assessed the issues we fixed as being the most important, and what was happening was the same as FH4, a tiny number of people believing that their issues were everyone’s issues, when they weren’t.
Nothing wrong with complaints or constructive feedback. They could eventually affect positive changes to the game. Just don’t start thinking you necessarily speak for the majority, that you deserve direct coddling by the devs, or that any changes to your favour should happen right now, now, now (stop stamping your feet, Veruca).
So the game has a bit too much emphasis on costumes and dancing for my liking, but I would still give this game a 5 out of 5 rating when it comes to actual game play and design.
I still consider the game to be very good value for money.
Its still a 5/5 to me too. Prestige 4, I think thats level 1450, 55/55 on goals and I just finished collecting ALL the cars. We NEED at least 600 max not 550. You cant own every single car & have much room to do wheelspins. I’ve had my wheelspins locked until I deleted cars from the garage. How crazy is that?
I love the game but online play has been the most frustrating thing ive dealt with all year. As upset as it makes me, I cant stop playing. Solo play is golden
