Why has no monthly community rival event notbeen held for 2 months ? And why has no new VIP rival events been added since the start of the game ? 3 VIP events for an extra 40£. This is not a good way to make VIP worth while.
I agree and it has been brought up numerous times too
Was told VIP rivals would be updated about 4 months ago by a certain someone but it never happened
Rivals is a big part of the game. It’s where the pros can show off and chance for up and coming players to learn the fastest lines and track limitations. Everyone’s loves a fresh track and fresh car to go try and get the fastest times possible. Also gives you a breather from getting wrecked at turn 1 in online multiplayer. It’s defiantly time for atleast a new monthly comunity challenge and even some more VIP events. 10 should about doit
Its pretty ridiculous that this even needs to be said. Rivals races like track days, autocross and spec races should be added on regularly, not just the community monthly. I kind of think its just another way of them trying to funnel players towards their lackluster leagues. Im sure someone will chime in and say theres only a handful of people working on forza 6, but this excuse cant continue to be used time and time again. Im finding it hard to think of another triple A studio that has worse support for their game.
So whats going on here??? Every time i jump into rivals it has NEW on the vip one , then i get get excited and go in it and what do i see? The SAME crap . VIP was a massive waste of money
It’s for sure a very hard decision to choose the track and car combination. Some say it take years to find one…
Maybe the devs have just forgotten about it. But it would be nice for someone there to acknowledge why it isn’t being updated . I fell like ive given them extra money for nothing . I might message some of them on xbox about it but i doubt ill hear back
Have to totally agree here. VIP has been a big letdown so far. Rivals, Gifted cars, special liveries, etc would have been nice if consistent.
It’s basically a $20 car pack. I don’t do rivals but it sucks for people who do and the double money is pointless when the game throws at least 100 grand at you pretty much every time you level up. 650 grand on 2 spins last night and sitting on 248 million. What’s the point when the dlc cars are free.
I know we all expect a lot from our fav racing gaming. And especially in the last few months if it’s life, so yo speak.
As September draws closer, and with the last of the DLCs arriving this month, a total of 12 DLCs, Se would perhaps expect more.
But I think we’ve missed what they’ve been attempting to do.
There’s been a huge push towards online racing. Encouraging players to entitle and become involved with various eSports racing leagues. Or setting up the earlier, and very intensly competed Lamorghini Leagues and Rivals.
That took up almost 2 months all up, and no sooner than that they finished, here comes the huge push into ESLs Forza Racing Championships.
With both real online rivals, Xbox singles Rivals, and online 1 on 1 races, with the ultimate aim as having a winner walk away with a REAL car.
So, knowing all that, where exactly would the promotional team have time yo run the monthly Rivals?
No time at all I think.
I suppose we have to ask. Do we want it all, and it be delivered very half baked. Or, do we want some relative thought put into changing the aims of the Motorsports side of the franchise.
Turning it into a contender for getting many of the ardent Xbox gamers across yo online gaming?
Thoughts will no doubt be mixed of course. Many love the monthly rivals, yet many would like to see something new.
But only time will tell as to if this new way actually works.
There’s still Rivals coming each week. I got a few rival invites last week, and this week, and for the last several weeks.
Let’s see what happens.
OZ
VIP rivals hasnt been updated since launch
There’s no excuse for it really
If they arent going to ever update it it shouldnt be advertised in the description of the VIP pass
They could have always just done a random event each month but not even that…there’s no prizes for them
DIRT rally does a new random event every day…week and month
Yep you got it.
I cant see why it hasn’t been done . It wouldn’t take to much time or resources to simply update once a month, all they need is to pick a track and a car .
And they aren’t releasing a game in a few weeks, (Horizon), or delivering an extensive online gaming tournament (ForzaRacing Championships), or delivering elimination events for 4 sets of knock out events to ultimately have some lucky sod win a car for Just playing a game. A REAL car, and not just a slug old KIA or Hyudi i20. But an RS Ford if I’m not mistaken?? (Clarify anyone).
Nor are they currently working on a game they’ll be delivered in 12 months and a few weeks. Or finalising the first of the 6 monthly VIP Car Pass DLCs for Horizon 3, as that needs to ship almost immediately after release remember. Or travelling around the globe covering events for EVERYONES entertainment.
Naha, don’t see the guys n gals at Codies doing any of that ‘right now’…
Yes, it’s damn annoying, yes, we’d all love to have it ALL in a perfect world.
But as we all know, this IS NOT a perfect world, and ‘stuff’ happens.
Would you rather they forget about advancing the franchise, just so they can do the rivals. Or, hopefully give them their dues and hope they deliver a whole new era in Forza Motorsports in 2017. If I’m not mistaken, I distinctly remember getting Rivals invitation hand over fist for the first 8 or so months.
So many infact, that nomsooner had I done one, another would either run out of time, or an additional one would appear.
I was at my machine constantly earlier on after release, as I was bed ridden for several months, so I was very observant each day as to what appeared, or disappeared for that matter.
I know which one I’d pick, but hey, I’m not greedy. Not saying you, or anyone is, I’m Just saying I’d rather deal with the rivals that are being delivered for the Forza Racing Championships each week, as there’s 4 thus far each week.
Please… Don’t get me wrong, I’m not making excuses for them, or sticking up for their failings big time with so many things, this iteration. But I can see past the immediate next week, and notice what they are trying to achieve long term.
Trouble is, that this current gaming crowd has very little room for patience, especially in the much younger generations. Those with years under their racing belts hopefully can see past the immediate future. As they to would have to notice what’s a foot within MS and thus Turn 10.

Not sure you understand my point
VIP rivals ( not the community monthly rivals ) has never been updated since launch almost 12 months ago now…
i wouldn’t call that impatient expecting that at least once in those 11 months that it was updated since it is one of the “benefits” of buying the VIP pass
Not expecting anything to be done now but was told by an t10 employee they would be updated earlier this year but never happened
Is it that hard to just change the track and car each month
Isnt horizon made by playground games

Aahhh,got you now…
And in that case, yes, it should have been addressed long ago. I’ve just had so many Rival Invites, that I just don’t know where they all came from. As by the time I got around to checking many out, they’d been changed for different ones.
I can understand your frustration now mate, I’d be spitting chips myself, if it was a make or break thing for me. It certainly is for many. So I can understand it, especially if your were told or even hinted that it would get updated.
But, I’d hazard to say, it’s not just a simple add a track and car, there’s no doubt other aspects to it, unbeknownst to many of us. But that still doesn’t excuse the point you’ve raised mate.
Re the development side of things. This time round, Turn 10 have a much bigger stake in the title than before.
In so many posts and write ups, Turn 10 have been mentioned as part of the development team, in one facet or another.
Teaming up with Playground Games far more than they ever have. Right down to obviously sharing assets (for cars, geography and even team work etc.)
Turn 10 were here in Australia doing the tours of the various local areas to Not only promote Forza Motorsports 6, but to do scans of vehicles and land etc. They were here during October for Bathurst and were here prior to that, and afterwards. Obviously for content for the next iteration of Motorsports, but also for ‘other endeavours’ no doubt.
Remembering that the game was only launched in September. So the team dealing with building the next game/s were already here gathering assets.
Look at the car roster for Horizon, look familiar. Look at all the Aussie cars that are in both, plus the extended number as more cars are revealed as the DLCs are released.
Unleashing even more cars, both classic Aussie rides, and the modern rides like the Holden HSVs, the Ford FRVs including the very last Australian buit V8 Ford Falcon, the FG X XR8 GT (only 500 built for Australia, and 50 for NZ) and the FG X XR8 (the sleeper GT, last of the true Aussie built production falcon sedans fitted out with identical engines, running gear, brakes, body kit, rims, tyres, interiors, all exactly the same as the branded GTs. Plus the super quick 4ltr Turbo XR6 Sprint, (again only 500 for Aistralia, and 50 for NZ)
All of those were the last made here in Australia, before shipment starts delivering overseas built cars in October this year, including the U.S. Built RHD 2016 Mustangs.
The huge array of classic Aussie cars scared while they were here are being used and it’d be very obvious that they wouldn’t just be doing that for just horizon. The next Motorsports title will have a swath of those cars, as well as numerous others from across the globe.
so I’d say that the two developers are well in bed with each other now, and it’s great that they are.
Motorsports is sharing its assets with regards to the whole Auction House, The Storefront, livery editor, photography tool sets etc etc.
All to bring Horizon.up,to,the older more viable standard of FM4, but in the new UHDTV and HDR world of 2016-17. It’s then no guess where these assets will be used, and polished even further, as teams work hard on the next iteration RIGHT NOW, and have been for some time.

All i know is if they have time to update these stupid leagues every week, they have time to add a rival event or two a month which have just as much if not more participants. It seems to me that the leagues are their main focus and everything else just gets pushed to the side.
It took forever to get other regular multiplayer hoppers added and that shouldnt happen, not everyone likes leagues. I liked the idea of leagues when they first announced them, but i really dont think they have been implemented well at all. Its a very basic points system that favors people with more time on their hands coupled with a trueskill rating that can be manipulated.
Now they seem to want to get into esports, which is fine i guess but once again forza is not really set up properly to go down this path. I think they wanted to get a jump on GT Sports esports aspirations, but from what ive seen gt sport is designed with this in mind and will most likely be more popular.
Ive played forza for a long time and im always for new features but im certainly not a fan of them adding a feature while degrading another. They seem to do this a lot and i just dont understand it. Forza has certain core aspects that shouldn’t be messed with, it never works out well.
So i sent out a friendly msg over xbox to a few of the devs asking about this . Im not holding my breath for a reply as i reckon there inboxs would be full of stupid requests which i feel this isn’t one . I just feel like ive paid for somthing and only getting some of it. Ill post up if i get anything back from them
This isn’t about “perfect world” what’s the deal with the ‘monthly’ rivals and why is it non existant?
It’s incredibly difficult to imagine myself laying out for VIP ever again having done so for every other Forza game >:-(

True, outside of the 10 Turn 10 Forza 6 livery cars, that were also modified and tuned. They were great, but if you weren’t careful, you could loose the livery if you tried doing a custom livery of your own.
I just saved them from the paint menus first, so that I had the livery saved so I could pop it back on anytime I wanted.
So, you got those, the 50% extra on all winnings, I got the extra car each month for about 6 or 7 months (anyone know exactly how many VIP Monthly cars and liveries we got please).
We got some Rivals, but not a continual amount each month, right?
So what EXACTLY did we get for the VIP privelage…
I can really see your frustration if you’re not interested in the whole eSports thing.
Neither am I,as I’m sort of scared to put my face in them, simply because of some of the great drivers and didn’t want to upset them by being a noob etc.
But the biggest thing for me is, the sheer number of nitwits in there, be it eSports, leagues or weekly events.
But in Rivals, I have a chance to learn things, and not make a complete gaff of myself.
So, if one was just interested in knocking off their friends lap after lap. Then thus would be a mind melt for sure.
However, while I’m 110% behind your thoughts on the whole thing, I do see what they are attempting to do.
And it’s not aimed at the immediate level of racing. It’s looking well ahead towards September 2017 and beyond.
Yes, it’s no excuse, and I’m not trying to make one for them, however, I can see that the well intentioned actions are having multiple negative affects to the user base across the board. And that’s a huge shame really.
Here’s how I see it, so bear with me please, and I’d welcome honest sensible conversation on the matter.
We have sort of a Perfect Storm situation heading our way.
1; We now seem to have the colaboration between Microsft Game Studios, Turn 10 and Playground Games with regards to the soon to be released Horizon 3. We see that in the various replies from Turn 10 team members with regards to build questions. We see their input in supplying and working on as well as gathering Assets for the game.
Not only from just current FM6 garage, bit from assets they’ve gathered over the last 12 to 18 months across the globe, especially in Australia.
2; We’re being moved strongly towards online gaming and various eSports Channels for over 12 months now, being ramped up more over the last several months, culminating in the ESL ForzaRC leagues, Rivals and supplying a great final prize for the King Of The Hill come the finals.
Moving gamers into not only competing, but watching them. Be that via Twitter, Twitch, Gavebook YouTub etc etc. that gets gamers involved more Dee-Li,and ideally weeding out those that just want to log on, smash things and then leave before the wheels stop spinning. Typical wrecker mentality.
3; We know that the next title is being released in September next year. How do we know that for certain. Because that’s how they have been doing it for 7 years by the release of that title in 2017.
Titles are released on an annual cycle, with a rollover of each individual title being 24 months, on the dot. That’s how the entire development and publishing arms are geared for. As advance ads have been planned, event scheduled into the racing calenders for 2016-17 on multiple disciplines. Caring sponsorship into those, and tying them into the whole Forza Racing Championships. Not these ones, but the ones that are coming further ahead.
4; there’s a nice new piece of kit coming at the same time as the next iteration of the Motorsports title. So it’s a no brainer that it’ll be a Release Title alongside Scorpio, and possibly a Halo title and or even an extension for Gears 4/5?
5; the whispers of a New Title coming out way from the Tirn 10 studios. Nothing firm or even discussed in great details anywhere, but there’s wispers going on in between the sheets.
Here’s a senario that could be thought of, roughly of course lol…
So, if I was a developer wanting to expand my franchise to a whole new level. I’d look at all those things, not forgetting the absolute need for proper Rivals btw, and then decide to Re-name the tired old Motorsports title, as it often gets confused with Horizons. And ideally, the two SHOULD be poles apart.
How would I do that…hmmmm… Perhaps while my current titles reaches the end of its DLC release cycle, I’d introduce a new way of getting better drivers back to the franchise. Oh look, there’s a great thing called ESL. I’ll tie in with them and supply a whole NEW named league series and call it…hmmm, oh yeah… Forza Racing: Championships.,
I’ll use my publishers new hardware to deliver a great new game that will tie both PC gamers with Console gamers. But the new hardware will be more PC than it will be a console so that’ll allow me to dedicate more resources into game development and not worry too much about the platform.
And I’ll then introduce this nice, real racing game called…yes, you guessed it…
Forza Racing. I can add additional titles like Championships for the leagues, perhaps some Shows, some circuit series like they do in the real world. Perhaps ForzaRacing Summer/Winter Series. Forza Drag Racing 2017 Knockout Series. Forza Racing Formular 1 etc etc, you get the drift …oh, yeah, Drifting … Oops.
I can bring in real sponsors and have their logos on cars that need to have those logos on league liveries, but the user can create anything they like, so long as it includes those logos just like they are now in the livery contests. And there’ll be another using the same logo but with a slightly different slant in week 49? Hmmm?
Etc etc…
Can you see where it’s going…
Yes, it’s a real [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] that things are falling off the shelves right now, and yes, it’s upsetting our racing experience. But could you deal with those so called inconveniences IF you knew a brand new way of proper online racing was heading your way… I certainly would, that’s for sure.
And it’s certainly going to have lots of teething problems, that’s a given. If we’re big enough, we’ll deal with those as they come up, and push forward. Get rid of the twits, it might take a whole year, but teamwork from both new stewards, Turn 10 and ESL, then they could be reduced dramatically, over time. As it will NOT be an overnight fix.
Does any of this rant make a little sense to anyone? It dies to me…

WTf are you on about. Are you paid by t10 to defend them? Couse every post is all you seem to do.
All i want is some New Rivals event!!!
