rivals

does anyone know if there will be any more monthly rivals events in Forza 4?

I don’t see why there wouldn’t be any. A lot of people still play Forza 4. I for one would like to see continued rivals.

I hope so too and I only ask because mine are still on December?

Same here, I only bought the game in December and I’ve done them all. Would like to see new ones but I’m guessing they may be putting more attention into FM5.

I love the monthly rivals in FM4… Hopefully there will be more, but sadly I think they are done…

say it ain’t so. not only was it the only part keeping the game alive for me, but it’s also the best way to make money :frowning:

it doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to keep it going, please turn 10 don’t abandon FM4 yet.

Yes server runs, because last FM4 photo contest is going and rivals you can go do better times.

I think they will continue the support of the rivals, because it looks like that it takes a few minutes to set each rivals, since the maps are already done

Will February be the second month of no Rivals?

i’ve just logged into rivals… no new rival events… guessing after i’ve completed the event list there’s no point to continue playing 4  :frowning:

I, too, was disappointed when I saw there were no new monthly rivals events for February. I was hopeful, because MS is still marketing and selling Xbox 360. In fact a new and better 360. I’m sure they realize there will be many people unable to jump into Xbox One right away, so there may still be hope. On the other hand, if they allow FM4 to wind down, and stop adding rivals events, they may see more people make the transition to Xbox One faster than anticipated.
I was hoping to see monthly rivals continue through this year, but would have been happy to see all rivals events changed. Even if they just changed one thing about each rival event (not just monthly) like the car, class or track, it would do a lot to extend the playability of FM4 for us diehard fans who are just not yet financially capable of making the Xbox One leap.
Such is life. I have already begun to re run all the rivals events with a goal of bettering my leaderboard position as much as possible with only 50 laps. But that won’t take very long and I am not ready to put FM4 away yet.

Peace

I might suggest the way Microsoft and their developers handled the release of the Xbox One and choice to abandon gamers on Xbox 360 may cause serious gamers to take another look at PC gaming. Microsoft seems more interested in developing the console to deliver streaming media and include games as a minor feature. They are still marketing and selling Xbox 360 consoles and Xbox 360 games, they should support their products and their customers. I almost pre ordered an Xbox One. At this point, after seeing how things have transpired in the past few months, I’m very glad I did not buy it and have no plans to buy one now. I’ll play the Xbox 360 until they pull the plug, then see what’s available.

I had to cancel my Xbox One because the transmission went out on my Ford Bronco, and that’s going to end up setting me back about 3 grand before I am finished, to do it right.
I have also been paying close attention to what’s going on with bugs and micro transactions and the general playability of the Xbox One. Honestly, I am kind of glad that I have to wait a while. Don’t get me wrong, I want to play FM5 real bad, but I think I will be better off in the long run by waiting 6 months or so.
I am disappointed that they seem to have walked away from FM4 as far as rivals go. I really believe they could change all the rivals one time and also continue the monthly rivals through October or even November.

Glad to see there are still some of you out there wanting more rivals. Sadly I doubt that turn10 are going to do any more. Maybe if enough of us …?

I would like to see some more rivals events. But it seems to me they are done with FM4 and focusing more on FM5 since they have not been updated in awhile.

I would like to see Rivals for Forza 4 continue, for sure. It should not be a big deal for Turn 10 to produce a rivals event or two each month for awhile, but seeing how the Forza series is progressing, I would not expect anything more for Forza 4.
Waiting on purchasing the Xbox One, or PS4 for that matter, seems to be a smart move this time around. There are not many good games currently available and the ones that are have numerous issues due to a rushed release. The next gen games look better on Xbox One, but gameplay has not taken a significant step forward. You know about Forza 5, other “blockbuster” games like Call of Duty Ghosts, and to a larger extent, Battlefield 4, have been underwhelming and plagued with major problems. To spend full retail on a console, decent headset, steering wheel and $60 games that will wind up costing more than $100 each with DLC is a lot to ask for what you get.
There are a couple nice racing sims in development for the PC. PC games are usually more community oriented which extends their viable life. HDMI out to your big screen TV with a decent graphics card and you’ll have better graphics than either next gen console. Plus, you’ll have a nice computer when you’re not gaming. Fanboys will continue to buy anything they are fans of, but sooner or later, some gamers are going to start looking for value and customer service along with a decent game.

There are a new set of monthly rivals up now.
