But honestly is there any reason to fix the fallback playlist ? Isn’t it really just something intended to keep one briefly entertained until the connection to the servers comes back ? Anyway the devs definitely do have better stuff to do, even if all it is amounts to Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V
as for the fixes, yes, though the story ones . . . we’ve only had one in the main playlist since the bugged stuff earlier and that was Drift Club where few had done it so I’m not convinced the fundamental issue has been fixed
Absolutely, and I was thinking that’s a good way to check up on some fixes by forcing the fallback playlist to play. I don’t think it’ll work for me though, need the internet to play the game as a Game Pass title. I’d hoped they had fixed the story issue but suspected they weren’t trying (maybe it’s even on the WFBD list) when they stopped making Story Challenges.
I see the back-up playlist every time I resume a play session as well. I suspect it has to do with the game reconnecting with the servers. It’s all right, as it always seems to resolve itself upon connection, but it just sucks that it has to do it every single time a session is resumed. It’s even worse when the season changes, and I have to sit through three separate load sessions for the season as the back-up playlist loads twice in a row (including the cutscene of the events dropping down on the map) before the true playlist finally appears. I suppose it’s better than how Horizon 4 is now, where a play session can rarely be resumed, even on the same day, and you have to sit through the game loading from the beginning, which is not fast on an Xbox One S.
