Collecting All Available Cars

One of my personal goals with each forza is to collect every car in the game, although I don’t bother going out of my way to get pre-order cars or liveried variants of a car already in the game. Now this forza is a lot more expensive than the past couple in terms of buying cars with several 10 million credit cars. I’m already making a sizeable dent with 61 million credits earnt but I’ve still got a long way to go!
Have any of you guys and girls got the car collecting bug? And have any of you managed to collect them all, or nearly got there?

I’ve been doing this for every racing game I ever owned. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and once I’ve acquired every car, it feels like I’ve unlocked the ability to do anything I want. The possibility of free upgrades gets me even more excited with FH3.

Currently, I have 260 unique cars in my FH3 garage (and some HE dupes). I have every car worth less than 75k and I have about 31 mil to spend. I tend to start cheap and work my way towards the big prize cars.

Yep.

Nope.

Not really.

My only fear going in to this is that, when all the events are done, the only real method of getting credits effectively is grinding Goliath. If that’s all I have to look forward to when everything’s done…

I agree with your fear. I’ve just added up the value of all the cars I don’t own from the autoshow and it is roughly 130 million and I’m currently on 44 million… Given there will be more horizon cars coming which may well have to be bought through auction house since levelling up is now harder, that’s quite a lot of Goliath I fear I may have ahead of me if I am to collect them all. Although I can save some of the money using auction house and perks.

Yep, I’m trying to collect them all! Nowhere close, though, but I’m starting with the high-end cars and saving the cheap cars for last.

I’m the opposite. I like to cull the herd and unclog the garage. I have won several cars I will likely rarely drive or have interest in driving. I do like to at least try them all though. I will dump the ones I don’t like and get multiples for different classes of my favorites. They have made 3 easier to scroll to what you want than 2 was though but it is still a pain and I wish we could customize theappearance order in the garage. Favorites are nice but still would like more options.

Exactly. There’s really no point in collecting cars when they’re relatively cheap and money is easily gathered.

I went on a spending spree tonight and purchased roughly 100 cars. I now have 368 unique models, with 22 remaining in the autoshow. All of these are at leaast 2 mil each. At this point I will play the game normally so that once I have enough for another car, it will certainly feel worth the wait.

I started yesterday, Im buying them from the auction house, at least cheaper ones because they are really cheap, you can get cars at low as 3k-4k. But bypercars are the opposite, people overpay for them, for example the centenario cost 2.3 mil, i don’t bid more than 2 mil. for it, but always get outbid from people that pay 2.5 millions… paying more than full price on the autoshow…

After getting about every car in-game that the wheelspin mechanism can offer I started buying the missing cars from the most expensive ones in the game (the 10 mill’s) towards the more cheapest ones. The last 2 cars I bought were the Shelby Cobra 427 S/C and the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster so I now own everything above 2 mill already. Still got just over 30 mill credits left so I think I could get close to owning every car already. But for now I’m buying all cars with that “boss swinger badge” perk so I get 5% discount. Once I reach the last car that costs 1 mill I think I will stop using that perk since from then on the benefit will only be less than 50k credits. It was 500k on the 10 mill cars.

I have one fear for us car collectors though - the dreaded, nasty and ugly garage limit. :frowning: Anyone knows at which value it is now?

The garage limit has been 500 or higher on all other XB1 Forza games, so I don’t see any reason why it would be less this time around.

There is one… I have 350 as a number somewhere in my head, but I could be mistaken. I hope for once that all car, DLC included, can fit the garage. As Fredits and cars are still not that hard to obtain I might go for the run as well…

I have 368 atm, so we can assume the limit is at least that much.

Also just for reference, if you want to know exactly how many cars are or will be available, look at the horizon promo list:

  • 434 cars total
  • Subtract 14, as that is how many NPC traffic cars there are
  • This leaves 420 as a current maximum, including preorder cars
  • If you subtract the preorder cars (6), you are left with 414
  • 414 is the current tally on kudosprime.com

Thx for clearing that out!

I’ve already collected them all, including all 6 preorder exclusive cars, and I’m at 396 without any duplicates.

Nope. Because I upgraded them all to the top of their class. If a car starts out at D100, It gets upgraded to D500 in case I need it for a challenge/rival event.

I spent 5 mil upgrading the cars I DO have last night. Only my top end cars get upgraded beyond the top of their class unless I need to upgrade something for a Forzathon event.

Up to 359 myself. And have calculated I need to do 1,000 laps of Goliath with 2x credits perk on, in order to afford the last 29.

I have 342 in my garage, but I have duplicates…about 45-50 of those are duplicates. I don’t keep cars that don’t interest me though, so I won’t collect them all. I got rid of the ferrari fxx k, it just didn’t do it for me…the sound was bland and I felt the la ferrari was overall a better car. Also, I keep duplicates so that I can run different set ups without having to go and swap things and what not, or if I want one copy for street races and the other for rally…it just makes my life easier.

Im glad I’m not the only one on this conquest!

It’s actually 420 total that are available for tuning/designs, kudosprime doesn’t seem to be counting the pre-order cars.

10 DLC Motorsport All-Stars
7 DLC Smoking Tire
6 DLC Pre-Order variants
5 DLC VIP
33 Horizon Edition variants (not all available to own as of Oct 14)
15 Barn Finds
4 Midnight Battle
3 Forzathon (Ford #17 not yet available to own)
3 Skill Shop
334 regular Autoshow models

I’m collecting all cars too, but I’m not rushing it (the pace is fast enough already). Got something over 200 cars now and most of the stuff is UE DLC/preorder, barn finds, midnight battle trophies and wheelspin wins.

At the moment I only actively buy the cars I’m curious about and which I don’t get for free (except the really cheap ones) - the very first one was a BMW Isetta :D. Next on the list is a 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, maybe I can save a million in the AH. I bet it has a great unobstructed cockpit view and a marvelous sound!

Other than that I buy the cars with the most appealing designs of the livery contest, they’re great incentives  Last one was an Opel Manta by warcryFIN from Livery Contest 3. Oh, and of course all the Forzathon Sales - you won’t find better discounts!

And don’t forget:
Creating a fun bucket list challenge with your rare cars is a great way to let your mates test them before buying them!
