Cockpit view - gauges view hindered

Hi folks,

I’m a bitg fan of cockpit view in FM6.

I notice in some cars, the rev / speed gauges view in the dash is hindered by the steering wheel. You can’t fully see the gauges.

Is there anyway to adjust this, so as to see the gauges in full?

Thanks
Dave

unfortunately not, which is a shame as some cars like the Ford Riley DP you cannot see the fuel gauge so have to revert to little bar chart on hud or go to damage screen to keep an eye on its %

Seeings as you brought it up, the HUD gas gauge is the WORST. I drive hood view. If I have a long white hood its invisible. Even a dark hood its practically unusable.

Our group, PPS, does a lot of longer races requiring pit stops and the only way to accurately get fuel info is in the telemetry screen. If you don’t prepare for it in advance then you have to do multiple button presses during the race to get to that screen. Only way to do it is take your thumb off the steering.
Seems with all the available screen real estate they could have afforded another 1/8th inch for a fatter bar or even a color change (green/yellow/red) to let you know you’ve reached 10% or something. That tiny line is stupid and a really poor design.

yeah the little line is too small to base your pit stops if timing it perfectly to the lap it will run out, only way round that is to put sim damage on, run track in rivals and make note of what lap it runs out so you know when to pit before you do your race.

Which is fine if basing endurance race on ‘lap count’ if running it on ‘distance travelled’ then you need to do a run in advance and make note by how many mins/secs it takes for your car to run out. However if you have to do an emergency pit stop due to damage then this makes things a little complicated

I run the entire announced race or even just half of it in several cars the week before to get an idea of where I will be in fuel and tires. I can get close but I always skitz out a little during a points race so whatever I practiced is close but not spot on.

Week before last I pushed a competitor into the pits as he had run out on the ramp trying to stretch it out. He was literally 50 ft from entering. No chance of me winning and I had lapped the guy behind me already so it was the nice thing to do rather than just go around and leave him there with a DNF.
