It seems that the mods (or boosts at least) dont dirty your lap time.
I have just done a career race on Lime Rock West in a R877 P1. I had 3 “Boost mods” on, 2 were +4% grip +3% braking. 1 was +30% Credits.
I managed to do what I thought was a very quick lap, but remembered I had those two performance enhancing mods on. I was kicking myself, it would obviously be dirty now. Silly me.
But upon checking the Leaderboards, which I did through rivals. It seems all my laps were infact clean, so there I sit with a clean lap, 7th on Lime Rock West.
So basically all the leaderboards could be wrong.
Sorry if this has already become apparent.
I read in a thread that times with Mods are ranked below regular uncertified (dirty) times, but that’s apparently not the case… This needs investigating.
If you’ve run a clean lap that is faster than anything in career then it won’t show any of your career laps on the leaderboard. In another thread it was said that the dirty lap indicator has been removed from career and career only. Perhaps this is causing an issue where the game is registering those laps as clean instead of dirty (all career laps are dirty by default) I believe. If not, they ought to be based on the philosophy that Turn10 took in part due to community feedback.
I have done some career racing now with Mods on, I will have to check my leaderboard times for those tracks as I have not done any racing outside of those few events.
For mine anyways, look on the long Watkins Glenn in C Class (Subaru BRZ), Sebring Full in the Wet for C Class (Subaru BRZ), Indy Oval showcase event, and whatever the other two tracks are in the very first career thing you do.
I was beating rivals every lap but I just assumed they were dirty.
Okay found OP times and if he was using a mod it is indeed glitched. Can’t find yours as list too long to check. Tried adding your gamertag to see if I could locate your times that way but all I could find is someone who apparently hasn’t played Forza 6 so clearly wasn’t you lol
You ned to hit X. It always shows your region first. ting at #15. I’m not saying it is not true but with out a screen shot of the car with mods on and the results with a clean lap I’m not saying it is 100% correct. I’m off to test this now
Lime rock west, R class, its still there im looking now, im now 15th out of 1742. Click X and it will sort by top scores not locale i.e america or europe.
Ive also noticed on the replay I actually cut a corner and take out a set of tyres. Surely that would have dirtied it. Something is definitly wrong.
Thats so strange I just ran like 10 races where I know I was not being dirty by going off track or drafting and could not get a clean lap. Take the mod off bam clean lap. I did how ever figure out how to prove the rubberbandng sadness. Funny how about every 3rd lap on the lowest setting for drivatar skill 2 cars would make up 1000 feet and then pass me. Granted I’m using a PI car of -30ish but still 2 cars posting lap times that are in the top 200 on the lowest setting is not right.
I’m not using boosters though I’m using crew mods so maybe that is the problem. I’ll try that one more time
The drivatars that are beating you by loads are they on your friends list? If so it could be that the game ensures it always adds a couple of friends. Try adding more friends then it has a larger pool to choose from.
Nope beat my time using boosters clean lap 100% sure of that and did not post a better time. But if it is happening to you it sure as all get up is happening to other. I’m say your correct sir. Add this to the bug thread if you would to point out another issue for Turn 10 to look into. Nice find
I for one really miss being able to set my leader board times during the campaign/series. I also miss the clean lap indicator. It’s not as easy to use the rewind alert. Being able to set good times while racing other cars is rewarding.
I usually set the drivatar so that I can get the lead in time for one clean lap. (not ultimate) I’ve even taken off the mods and it appears I’m able to set clean laps. which is nice. why would I want to set dirty lap times if it means the race is a bit easier? I want a reasonable challenge at which I can excel. If I couldn’t win at the lowest difficulty these mods would be more helpful. Maybe in online racing.
I just enjoy knowing I have good times on the board, in case I don’t have time to go back and improve later. It’s also pretty satisfying being able to set a top time with only my final lap to do it. It’s hard to get that sense of accomplishment if all my laps are dirty through out the whole “campaign”.
There are so many track and class combos to set a time in. I don’t think I have that little of a life to set a good time in rivals for them all. I sure would like to kill two birds with one stone in that respect.
