Classes / homologation missing from rivals!?!?!? t10, we want them back! please!

This, for me, is the biggest upset to what is otherwise a fantastic new game!

WHY, TURN10, have you removed the classes from rivals options!?!?!? Even from freeplay, we can’t select the rival we want to chase. There is literally no way to do it!!

Now, as much as this is something which I really wanted personally, I know I’m far from alone in feeling greatly disappointed with this huge void.

Being the founder of FACR, Hot Lap Seasons are something we’ve had running for nearly 2 years, and with over 200 people signed up and waiting for what should be a hugely successful and enjoyable 8th Season (and our first in FM7), there’s lots of disappointment within the group. Even with these numbers (over 1.2k in total) in FACR, we are just a small fraction of the total Forza community, and I’m convinced you are too frustrated by the lack of classes within Rivals!

Homologation is a fantastic introduction to the game. Personally, I love it! What a great way to even out the field. But bring Homologation to rivals, then. Imagine that!? Homologated Rivals!!

So, Turn10, if you do listen to us, PLEASE PUT CLASSES (OR EVEN DIVISIONS - IF YOU WANT TO USE HOMOLOGATION) BACK INTO RIVALS!!!

What are you opinions, guys? And would you like to see classes return to rivals?

Dave Lacey.

Couldn’t agree more! A huge part of Forza’s lifespan is down to clubs hosting Hot lap challenge’s each week.

Without the rivals system we have had for every other Forza this can’t happen. The games playing lifespan is massively decreased as clubs can’t host these events.

BRING BACK RIVALS PLEASE

I agree 100%. Rivals is a massive part of the game and it feels hollow without it. There are a great deal of people who love to hotlap and chase their friends and rivals around. Not only is a massive part of the game for me, it also helps as a learning tool for others to get better at the game. Bring back a full rivals mode please!

Exactly that Dave is right.
Also class in public lobby’s abctjes class in rivals.
I also think that everything may be released in the game.
I’m playing it now for 1.5 weeks and some things are just unavailable ?? !!
Bring rivals back and give everthing free in Forza 7 :+1::facepunch:

Why on earth would you do such a thing T10? Doing a weekly Rival challenge in the club was a way to let everyone who participated get to know tuning, practice driving skills, we have an excellent painter who likes to use his skills to come up with paints to use in these events. I have seen so much interaction with our club because of the weekly Rivals it really is a shame we can’t use them the way we would like anymore. This is very disappointing and a real let down, FACR has been very dedicated to FORZA. This is a slap in the face.If a feature that so many use, it not put back in the game, it tells me you are self centered and don’t care about the racers that make Forza great. I think it should be time I move on.

Couldn’t agree more!!

I rarely get the opportunity to race in multiplayer lobbies with my mates due to timezone and work commitments. Having a hot lap challenge each week was the only eason I was still playing FM6 until FM7 was released. The fact that I could chase a mates ghost was brilliant, it not only gave me the chance to virtually race friends, but improve at the same time.

I understand that the homologation system is being pushed instead of classes, so why not bring this into rivals instead?

Big chunk of game time missing for me, and those of us who cant always get into multiplayer

A great point Dave L. The game’s great but this is a big disappointment. Hope it’s addressed.

Well said Dave, without rivals the whole game for me lacks any real purpose. I have no interested in Career Mode and don’t really get much fun from most multiplayer lobbies. FACR hot lap challenges and tuning to get better lap times is what I bought the game for. Hopefully somebody is listening.

Totally agree, homologation is a cool new change that should keep the size of rival leaderboards below the 100k mark, if turn10 brings it to the rivals section. Fingers crossed.

Putting classes into the Rivals section will further enhance that section of gameplay. The game developers have already gone through the process of choosing a particular track, so why not just flip the switch and turn on the different classes? It would be real easy. Sure, you can still homogenize (homo-lo-gate ??) the cars for each class to make the Rivals within each class more competitive. But to limit each Rivals event to one and only one car seems very restrictive in a game otherwise built around giving gamers freedom. Turning on classes still allows the game developers to keep the spirit of Rivals (the competitiveness) while giving gamers more options to choose what kind of car they want to use. As is now, I feel like I’m just renting or test driving a car in Rivals, and it’s not really my car, per se. Very impersonal.

I’m Methadone Man, and I approve this message.
