have to say the A class ghost league is utterly boring this week… 90 percent of lobby is driving BAC mono race after race after race… I wish the car was banned from the lobbies… Yeah its a great grippy fast car and prolly has an advantage… But its just boring to keep racing the monos over and over… Yeah ive used different cars but you almost dont have a chance against it… Its so easy to drive its always at the top… No skill really needed to drive it… Ive driven it and finish top 5 every race but no skill needed and not fun…Anyways just a rant I guess… I love the ghost league but it sux this week…
The regular contact A class lobbies arent the same …Theres not monos throughout the lobby because contact will send them flying.
I agree it’s pretty boring this week. I’ve maybe done a handful of races in the A class ghost league. The lobby I was in had fifteen people and twelve of them were driving the Mono. If people want to drive Mono’s all day long that’s cool but it’s just not for me. I prefer to race in lobbies with a variety of cars.
On a side note the Rally Day Heroes league has been loads of fun with mostly clean racing.
I’m in pinnacle, the alphas are running A class. It’s pretty sad that they added hundreds of new cars but only a handful can ever be used if you want to win.
Ghost leagues are essentially hotlapping contests, which means that whatever cars top the overall leaderboards will be the one worth using. The easiest way to be competitive is to use whatever the winner/leader is using, so those cars at the top of the boards will simply become more popular over time until somebody finds a car/build combo that can out-perform said leaderboard car.
Bear in mind that Leagues are competitive by nature, and using the tools (cars) that provide you with the best chance of winning is an essential part of playing to win.
If a car is banned, people will find the next best car and use that. If that car subsequently gets banned the process repeats itself until there are no cars to choose from.
Understood, but the league the way points are given really have no bearing where you are ranked… What gets you ranked higher is more time racing in the league… Thats it…
So its not really to gain points and get ranked higher by winning because you can be number one ranked if you just race 24 hours a day and finish 10th…Or worse… Not a good points system…
Yep, BAC Mono or Alfa 33, no one bothers with anything else. LB cars have always been an irritating side-effect of the way T10 sets up car classes in these games, but FM6 takes it to a whole new level.
I enjoy a wide variety of cars whether they’re super competitive or not. I would be bored out of my mind if all I ever drove was the same handful of cars even if it ment I was winning tons of races.
I have neither car in my garage. I think I won a BAC from a spin and sold it. It’s like wild game hunting at the zoo. And have you ever had to follow one of those BAC’s on a rain track? You cant see.
Indeed. I spend a lot of time cruising solo in Free Play, so I can enjoy the car list without worrying whether car “x” is “competitive” or can be “made to win”.
EDIT: This is why “cycled production” lobbies were so good in FM5. No LB cars, no glitch tunes, just driver skillz.
I won a race tonight with a Lotus Exige S in the A-class Ghost league. Of course, there were only 3 people in the lobby, and one of them dropped out after half a lap, but a win is a win!
Never actually won a multiplayer race in Forza. Not just 6, all of them since 2.
Pretty sure I will retire from multiplayer now and live off the endorsement contracts I expect will be coming my way any day now.
And that isn’t the only issue, because you’re forgetting about the corner cutting. Like somebody else already mentioned, we need more sticky grass. Bugatti circuit is one of the worst.
I gave up on a class league after one race, I was the only person not in a mono and didn’t want to use it as it is boring.
Have to say I thought the rally heroes league would be rubbish but it’s been the best so far, close racing, quite a few cars can be competitive and it has been mostly clean racing too.
