Another car model surprisingly in use and shared between FH5 and FM 2023. The 1969 Camaro SS is desperately in need of a complete rescan. The issues are highlighted in my linked post FH5 Car Issues. It is simply not feasible to fully discuss the same issue that’s been done before. Requesting T10 to scrap and redo this car’s model.
The lack of SS badges is what really bugs me about this model and the others, so VOTED.
FM1-FM4 used to have the '69 Camaro SS as the RS package model. It has concealed headlights and a Black roof vinyl option.
Same RS Package goes to the Z/28 version too.
Then, the entire model gets drastically changed to the standard SS for FM5 beyond. FM6 removed the SS badges on every Chevrolet having SS trims, to make them look “debadged”. FM5 and FH2 have SS badges.
So I decided to investigate the whole car model myself and looks like it’s DEFORMED!
- Front grille and headlights are too big
- Side marker lights are too big
- Roof is too low
- Side windows are smaller
- Side mirror is too big
- Rear droops low
I think the FM1-FM4 body proportions still retained, even if the whole car model got a big change for FM5 and later Forza titles. So it wasn’t rescanned properly.
And it’s claimed that GT7 had the most accurate 1969 Camaro model. They have it as the Z/28 version.
