Cockpit RPM doesn’t match virtual gauges RPM. The engine sounds does match virtual gauge RPM. So the wrong one is the virtual cockpit RPM gauge
I noticed the exact issue as well. This persisted since it was first added back in Series 26.

indeed, very strange it s never been solved but I think it will never be 
(same problem in forza Motorsport on this car since day one)

I just bought the car pack DLC and can confirm that the RPM gauge of the car’s dashboard is indeed not synced with the HUD RPM gauge.
Playing on Xbox Series X.
