when upgrading the 74 celica gt, front and rear bumper modifications can be found under the aero and appearance section. for the front bumper, there are “Street” and “Race” options, for the rear there is the “Street” option. both “Street” options are the removal of the 5mph crash bumpers. under normal realistic circumstances, this would remove weight from the vehicle, but ingame it erroneously adds weight; 2lbs extra for the front and another 2lbs for the rear.
tangentially related but still strange is the fact that the “Race” front bumper with adjustable downforce does not remove the heavy, bulky 5mph front bumpers. this should be corrected to remove them, as any race-ready version of the car irl would not take to the track with these bumpers present.
