Cars - Porsche 911 GT2 '18 - Weak sound in cockpit view

The sound is quiet, compressed and distant in cockpit view. It also doesn’t sound fully correct in the external views.

For reference, FM7 has a more accurate sound and to some degree, FH5.

Reported since March.

Can we have a look at this please?

It’s passable from the external views but cockpit sound lacks punch, bass, rumble and impact. Sounds too much like a striped down race car cockpit which shouldn’t be the case as it’s a road car.

Is this not getting bug logged?

The sound from the first person onboard views on this car is flat, hollow, and “small”.

Shouldn’t I be hearing and feeling the power, impact, oomph, rumble, and vibration from the engine and exhaust system?

Please improve the first person view sounds. The car sounds very flat and hollow. Reminds me of how you released FM 7 with weak, flat, hollow, and faraway sounds. The sounds need to start utilising dynamic 5.1/7.1 sound stage!

Include this cockpit sound to be improved in the next update please.

Would love to see all the 911s updated in a subsequent update, including this one.

Would it be possible to provide a recent video of this in action to show an example.

I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you need me to provide. The current sound in the car is completely low standard. Just go into cockpit view to see what I mean. Make sure your office xbox is connected to a surround amp. The cockpit sound is weak and lacks depth, dynamic range, bass, vibration, etc. This is the same issue with ALL modern 911 GT3s and GT2s (roadgoing versions), and the modern Carrera S as well. Pretty sure I missed a few but the modern 911s really need looking at. It’s as if the developers forgot to add punch, depth and dynamic range in cockpit view. @JetPartySalad

There’s no evidence required whatsoever. Just launch the game and drive this car in cockpit to see what I mean. The external views could also use depth, bass, character, and dynamic range but by far its the cockpit view that’s the culprit: flat and hollow sound as if you are revving the engine out of an echo chamber or large bathtub. Very hard to miss, really.
