Sound on this car is fine generally but when you go to cockpit, it’s hollow, thin and small. Revving out of a bathtub or faraway tunnel. Best way I can describe it.
Give the cockpit sound some bass, rumble and insulation please, it’s a road car.
Just tested it. That’s correct, there’s no power from the engine sound coming out of my 7.1 amp.

I hope it gets added to the list of cars to fix sooner than later. I love driving this but tend to avoid it because of the weak sound.
I can vouch for the weak cockpit sound and generally lacking sound from other views. Needs to be louder with more depth and dynamic impact.
Roll out a fix please. Long overdue. 
The sound on this car cannot be an acceptable standard. Unless this is your first attempt at a racing game then I might cut you some slack.
Please take a listen to videos online or try to source this car. It has a completely flat cockpit sound devoid of any feeling of power, depth, or character. The external view sounds also seem generic.
