Cars - Lamborghini SC63 porposing in high speed corners

So took the SC63 for a spin at Sunset Peninsula, did the out lap and went to start the hot lap…as I enter Turn 1, the porposing into T1 was horrifically bad, like the car was so stiff, and even when I’ve put a tune on it from the 963 & M Hybrid, it’s still doing the same thing.

Everything else is fine driving wise, just going into fast corners and taking some curbs makes “bouncy” really need more people to confirm my findings.

The car needs to be tuned independently as it behaves differently. The porpoising can be tuned out.

Can it? Because am trying everything, the stock set up is horrifically bad. It’s not AS bad with my tunes from the other cars but it is still there no matter what I do. Going too soft on suspension will hamper the handling.

If you’ve cracked it, please share. Kinda puzzled as to why it’s just so….Bouncy.

Flicked around a few settings and aside from the chronic oversteer this feels pretty solid.

40 / 10 ARB
900 / 975 Springs
6.0 / 6.0 / 12.0 / 12.0 Damping
3.1 / 2.0 / 30 / -4 Suspension Geometry

No idea what you did with your set up just tried it, but it handles T1 better but the car still bounces a tad, and if you take fast middle sector at Sunset and hit the curb in an awkward spot the car just kicks out and am off in the barrier. Maybe am tired, 4am here :joy: homework to do, but it still feels odd compared to the other 3 LMDh’s though.

You’re a god send, I’ll try these in the morning. Cheers bud appreciate that :handshake:

No problem lad. The oversteer needs to be tuned out. Going to try the extremes of 40/1 ARBS and 9.8/0 sus geo next and tune from there.

Keep me posted, please? Am keen to try and get this ironed out as smooth as possible, I’ll report back and share if I make tweaks myself.

40/1 ARB and 7.5/0 Roll Center Height Offset seems to work kinda well for the oversteer problem. Aside from the front right lifting a bit in T1 at Sunset it’s stiff as a brick now.

Mate, just tried those numbers…holy moly! You’re a genius. It’s not bouncing anymore. Seems this car prefers to be much stiffer at the front and softer rear.

I upped the ride height 2.6/2.7 it’s smooth.

I made some more small changes, upped the front tyre pressure to 27 and the rear 27.5/28 seems to improve cornering speed.

Think aero wise am still toying around with the most (mostly testing at sunset peninsula) but compared to what the stock set up was and what you had suggested was a vast improvement.

if they reduce how much it bounces normally it should be a pretty solid car, oversteer is unbelievably high but there’s possibly ways to reduce it while keeping it competitive.

They seem to always struggle with the handling of race cars in this game, whether it’d be GT3 or LMDH.

Compared to the 963 & M Hybrid, the SC63 is not as fast, but feels better than the boat Cadillac. I’m struggling to match what I can do in Porker & Beemer with the Lambo, I love the car but it’s got issues that need to be addressed by the devs.

in case you talk about lap times, the SC63 is on pace with the BMW.

Not with me it’s not, not around Sunset at least. I’m doing 1.15/16’s and barely getting into the 17’s with the SC63.

The issue with the SC63 is the default tune. I had no issue making drive very nicely using my own tuning principles. It’s way too stiff, but that can go for most of the LMDH cars.

As for balance, you won’t be able to tell the multiplayer balance in single player. All three proto-h cars has a rebalance done using modifiers. So balance for multiplayer has to be tested in multiplayer.

It took a while but I’ve got a decent set up on now that is matching the 2 German LMDh’s as for the caddy that still needs an overhaul.

But the Lambo stock set up yes I agree is really awful. Think the dev’s need to look into that, but then again people will slap on a tune from others anyway I reckon.

Same I finally have a setup im comfortable with did take awhile I compared my lap time to the BMW and I think the lambo is alittle slower, but these cars are not best series sold could be a skill issue or setup.

Yeah, agree I think the Lambo out of the 4 is the 3rd fastest car.

Took the setup notes here, dialed them in, car seems much happier through the final corner at Road Atlanta. Can take it full tilt like the other Protos. Default set is wayyyyyyy to unpredictable.
