You might be right, just googled it annd it looks like F4 had a 150 hour long career. Didn’t mind that, so it’s more the repetative nature of the F6 career that makes it feel so awful :(.
Hope turn 10 picks up this and makes the F7 career with more variety.
Yeah, the career design burns out a lot faster in Forza 6 with it’s limited selection of tracks per volume. Each volume of 18 series have to be done on just three track lists, a remarkable amount of repetition.
It’s fortunate that we have Showcase events at least - popping into one of these events occasionally does make it a bit less tedious. Or as suggested above, spreading the career out over a month or two while you do other things.
So for some one doing this and only has street volume done.
To lessen the grind should we run one division per volume (play like career all over) or plow though each volume. I figured being familiar. With the tracks and layouts would help for but I can see this being a grind.
I think the best way is to start with the longest volume and switching between the three series within, then you get some track and car variation and still fell like you’re completing something.
I also suggest not using any mods so you get clean lap times, that way you can at least make it more fun to better lap times.
Nobody can get all the achievements as 2 are broke. Car culture and world traveler. I even raced in the 458 Italia, not just the team. I raced in every Ferrari. Did both achievements 3x and both are stuck at 96%
My issue is not with career being long, it is the fact that they need an update to fix achievements and they refuse to help
None of these are broken as they already have fixed them. I got them, all I need is the final “one for the history books”.
If you’re missing the world traveller you most likely need to race at Laguna Seca as this track caused the bug.
When it comes to the ferraris just print out a list an check off one by one.
I started with one section of each volume to unlock them all and now i’m picking one from there, one from there, just how i feel for…
Different tracks for all series (volume) would be great, but maybe next Forza…
Im kinda perfectionist also. So I will also eventually to get all achivements, but i dont mind if it takes a long time.
I only played Forza 6, and a litle Forza 5. I think 6 is much better.
I do wich that it was posible to choose longer races, its kinda anoying that some races the only way to win is to smash into the AI or else the leader car will be long gone before you pass those brain dead AI that just go in front of you and break all the time. I hope the next game the AI will be better and that it will be posible to chose longer races. Much like in Project cars where it is up to the user to choose how long races they want in Carrer.
I also like that it is somewhat limited wich cars can be used in the races. I can only compare with grand turismo 5. But that was really bad you could take cars that where like 10 times faster than AI and win easely, and worst part there was no way to know wich cars to choose to get a good challenge. Most of the time you eather choose a car wich was to slow or to fast.
i too find racing same tracks over and over in career is not that fun but it is needed to get rewards and stuff maybe they will add tracks in a DLC or so?
what i do not understand is doing showcases, rivals, free play and winning those races they still do not Count for the tier Points is it only the series in career mode that does?
Eh, It’s not even that Forza 6 needs more tracks and cars. In fact, the amount of content in the game is absolutely outstanding. It just doesn’t indulge in it’s scope as much as the grid-based Forzas did, meaning despite having it’s 100+ track ribbons you only see a fifth of them in each car type, and many don’t appear in the career at all.
Showcase count toward tier points? Most of my miles came from career/showcase and rivals, days played- cars- etc. Or am I not understanding? Fm6 tier details by Sean McManus, on Flickr
I read through these forums pretty regularly and quite often I ask myself if I may just be witnessing what can only be described as the most ungrateful, never satisfied and yep I’m gonna say it…the whiniest people on the planet. I was giving the overall forza community the benefit of the doubt right up until I read this post. I have never in my life heard a gamer complain that the game, any game from any console any generation, took too long to finish it.And guys my first game console was the Atari 2600. So, in my 30 + years of playing video games Ive never heard that a game lasted too long until today.
How about yall stop nitpicking every single little thing you can find. And in the time you used to waste griping about silly things on here you could use to do something positive. Theres a online lobby right now that I bet has at least 5 noobs that could use a few driving pointers. I’m sure theres someone trying to tune for the first time and is completely baffled…anyway, you get my point. Get online and do something worth while and just try to act like better people.
Yup it show how frustrated I’m. Forza was my favorite game. I just wish they would invest in this game instead of driving me to play garbage games or old games. Honesty I feel this was about the whole Xbox in general.
Well, this is sort of the nature of general forum sections in any game.
Few people start threads unless there is a problem or something they are not happy with, I wouldn’t call them ungrateful because of that.
It’s not like Turn10 gives us the game for free and I believe they benifit from forum feedback. Lets just call it constructive criticism :).
I agree that most game benifits from having a certain amout of gameplay hours, and most og them have a feel of progression.
The complaint I have about the length of the Forza 6 career is that is seems like they made it so long just for the sake of clocking in a certain amount of career gameplay hours, it doesn’t add anything to the game.
I don’t have the exact number, but Stories has about 180 separate races. It took me 4 weeks after getting the game to finish career, but I’m retired. I understand the need for diversity among complaints, but I was good with eveything about it except the AI, because personally I don’t like getting smashed into or blocked while attempting to race.
Edit: And about “THRU THE PACK”, it’s a little hard right now to get 24 car lobbies when the game disconnects people on a regular basis. Every race you see notices of kicks throughout. I guess about 25% of the pack gets booted each race.
