car specs are off?

So my friends and I are competitive with eachother In forza 5. On the first track of the bermese alps. A friend of mine is driving a subaru brz. Done for handling in C class. His handle is 5.7. Im not sure of his other stats. But his seating at about 200 horse and 160 torque with the car maxed for the C class " 500 ". I picked a 98 subaru wrx sti. My handling 5.0. But I have over 400 horse and like 450 torque. I put the rally engine in it. F5 stats say 0 - 60 around 4.4 seconds. And the qrt in at 12 seconds. But on the straights his brz walks away from me. And on the hills also. The wrx dies out. Im wondering what the hell gives. I know gearing has alot to do when car are equally matched in size/weight, & power. But if I have double the horse and torque. With similar gearing & vehicle weight… why does his car pull on me? We both have the adjustable front and back wing also. But a friend told me to try the mercedes 4 doorthsat the top guys are using on that track. I did. It climbs the hills better the my wrx, with more weight and half the power. And forza says its 0-60 time is 6.3 seconds. So any one have any idea what my dilemma is…?

And another thing I noticed. When I set up a car for handling… if I use the bumper cam… the car seems to handle decently. But when using the cockpit cam with the steering wheel view it grips the concrete better and holds better lines. Is this a software screw up on forza part or am I imagining things! I have owned multiple forza games starting back with forza 3. I dont use any assists when driving except cosmetic damage. I use a manual with clutch. And usually get clean laps. On multiple tracks im in the top 10,000, and a couple in the top 3,000. But I really just want to put a whooping on my friend.

So if anyone can share some knowledge with me… I’m willing to learn. Any thoughts on the matter of the steering wheel cam and forza stats I would like to hear them. Ive alresdy emailed iGN. To see if they’ll look into it. And if anyone is having a hard time beating some race times… if your close to besting but cant seem to gain a second or 2… try driving with the steering wheel cam. No bs… it cut 3 seconds off a couple of my times. Ones I tried running 20 laps or so using the bumper cam. Ran 3 laps using the steering wheel cam. Each new lap I gain a second. Just takes a bit to get used to. The car just seems to grip better.

Please share your comments and thoughts. Btw sorry for the long post. Have a good week everyone.

You need to change gears at 5500 rpm with the rally engine - its peak hp range is 4,000 rpm to 5,500 rpm and after that it dies.

No the cars grip does NOT change due to view, under any circumstance, ever.
